Catching up

520 Words
After Jessy left the Jackson residence, she slipped into a shop near by and bought herself some clothes and shoes before catching a taxi back to her fathers home.  Sitting in the taxi, she pulled out Kelsey's phone and searched up the latest news. According to the date, Jessy died a week ago  today. When she was locked up four year ago, Chase kept her completely isolated and only allowed her to have books because Abby said she didn't need any sort of entertainment. After checking the latest news, Jessy caught herself up on what has happened over the last four years. Having a photogenic memory and fast reading ability really comes in handy when you need to learn things quickly.  Just as she was finished and was ready to put the phone away it rang. It was Kelsey's father, Michael Long. She hit the accept button and before she could even say "hello", he was shouting at her to get home right away. The original Kelsey may have always been obedient to this man but Jessy sure as hell wouldn't be, "Hello to you too, father. I'm good after you drugged me. Thanks for asking." Jessy said as if talking about the weather. Michael was shocked and replied in a panic. "What are you talking about? Why on earth would I drug my daughter? Are you ok? Come home and dad will call the doctor for you right away."  "There is no need now. I am on my way to the dorm. If you have anything you want to talk about, just tell me over the phone. After all education is what is the most important thing right now and I need my rest, right?" Jessy couldn't keep the sarcasm out of her voice while answering him. Michael coughed to cover up his uneasiness, "Well of course it is. Don't worry about anything tonight. Just come home tomorrow and we can talk then." Jessy rolled her eyes to her self, gave a half hearted reply and hung up on him. After the call, Michael looked at the phone and was wondering what was going on with Kelsey. She had always been obedient and even if she knew he had done something wrong to her or others, she would never call him out on it. He laughed to himself because he knew he could control her just like always. He didn't need to waste any time worrying about her.  After Jessy hung up the phone, she leaned back and closed her eyes. She needed to make a plan on how she was going to start her revenge and deal with the issues with Kelsey's family. She was so lost in her thoughts that it took the driver multiple times of repeating himself about their arrival before she noticed. "I'm sorry. Here, keep the change." She said with a sweet smile before jumping out and running towards Kelsey's dorm. When she entered the room, her roommate Zoey was asleep, so she grabbed her night clothes and took a quick shower before jumping in bed and passing out from being mentally exhausted.
