I don’t read the article, since I already know what it says. Much of it is just a summary of the press conference at the Police Station earlier that morning, and quotes pulled from the statement of State Attorney Brian Dohrmann. That contained a defense of the state’s original case against Father Leonard, criticism of the defense attorney, and what I thought was a gratuitous slap at the Catholic Church.
Anna comes into the office with a cup of coffee. “Did you read it?” I say as I take the mug from her.
“I read it,” she says, sitting down. “I still can’t believe it.”
