“Millie’s p.o.v.”

Derek took my hand again as he lead me to the kitchen an dinning room area. It felt like it took almost 20 minutes to get there, when we stopped infront of two lovely wooden carved doors. Derek’s face went blank for a second, then two seconds later one of the doors before us opened.

A petite redhead, with very pale skin walked through the door followed by a very tall brown haired male. Once the door closed, Derek spoke. “Millie, this is Lucas an Irene. They’re our Gamma’s.” They both bowed to me, an I nodded back. “Hello, It’s very nice to meet you.” As I shook hands with both of them. Derek pulled Lucas off to the side talking to him, about only the goddess knows what. So Irene tried to make small talk with me. “I’m 18, may I ask how old you are Luna Millie-Ann?” I gave her a shy smile back. “I just turned 20 this year. Could you please call me Millie or Bean please. We don’t have to be so formal. You are my Gamma after all, so why weren’t you at breakfast with us girls this morning?” I asked nicely. “Oh! I’m so sorry, Millie. I was trying to make sure everything was all set up for today. I promise to be at the next one for sure.”

But just my luck, that’s the first place Derek took me. “Millie, this is Mr. Mitchell an his Wife Mrs. Mitchell.” The little older lady stepped forward towards me her hand extended. “Its very nice, to finally met you Sweetheart. Derek spoke again, “Mr. an Mrs. Mitchell practically raised me into the man I am today. Mrs. Mitchell is our fabulous chef an Mr. Mitchell is kinda my butler you could say even though I look at him more as a father figure who looks after me sometimes.”

As he walked me over to Matt’s mother. She hugged me as well, she was so over joyed that she got a new daughter in law and a Luna all in one day. Her name was Michelle.

Derek then guided me over to his mother. Who was standing next to Natalie an Drake making small talk. That’d be lovely.” We both laughed as I took his arm, an we walked over to this beautiful wooden table that could fit like 20 people at it. Drake handed me a wine glass with orange juice in it that was sitting on the table. I took it gladly an started sipping away at it. “So how’s it going so far, Luna!” Drake teased at me as he bumped his hip into mine. “I think I should be asking you about Natalie over there. I kind of got a blow by blow at breakfast this morning thank you for that! By the way.”

I teased him right back. “Ah! Well I was just being honest with her. I really thought she’d reject me once she learned my history, you know my family.
