chapter 13: date?

[Alex pov]

It’s been a week since my birthday and everyday for a few hours in the morning, Jase comes over and trains me and Bay. only simple stuff like running from one end of the field to the other, workouts and fighting stances so far. He said we have to build our muscles up before we can start sparing. At night, Jase either stays here with me or he takes me to his place. We haven't done anything other than kiss and honestly I'm glad. I've never done anything else before and I'm nervous about it.

“Good job today guys. You are doing better than I thought, another week of this and I'll start training you to fight. Also, have a talk with your gram, I can train you in your human forms but you also need training in wolf form, see if she knows someone who can help in that aspect.” Bay nodded to him “alright I'm gonna go shower, I’ll talk to her after” and with that he headed into the house and it was just the two of us.

He closed the space between us and put his hands on my hips “you my dear, look so sexy in your little outfit” im wearing an all black sports bra and a pair of black spandex shorts. He bent down and started placing gentle kisses on my neck, I let out a little moan as he continued his attack on my neck. He gently bit me and pulled away. I could feel the blush rising in my cheeks. 

With a small giggle I turn away and head towards the house. “Not looking too bad yourself” I looked back and smirked, to see that he’s following right behind me. A little over a week ago I would never have thought this was going to be my life but I'm loving every second of it. The training, the time I spent with Jase, Bay and I even got closer in this short time like how we were when we were younger. I’ve barely seen Sarah since my birthday. I tried to talk to her about her mate bond with my brother but she wont let up. She just says I won't understand. 

I go to the fridge and grab myself a bottle of water, chugging it down before grabbing an apple from the counter to snack on. I look at Jase, this handsome, crazy man is all mine and I love that. I love that no one else could have the effect on him that I do. His eyes are literally the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,  little fires burning in those orbs. I don't think that I will ever get over it. 

“Are you gonna stare at me all day or do you wanna go do something?” he chuckled. I threw the core of the apple in the trash and walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his waist, looking up at him and he looked down at me. 

“Hmmm, I could look at you for the rest of my life hotstuff, but what did you have in mind?” I smirked at him as he smiled back. 

“Well, I was thinking I will take you out somewhere, like a date. Spending the day together and what not” he looked at me with eyes full of hope, I pretended to think about it for a minute before answering.

“You Know what Mister Fain? I think I'd like that very much”  I stood on my tippy toes as he bent down to meet me in the middle and placed a lingering kiss on his lips. 

“Showers open!” I heard Bay yell before I heard his door shut. He's been in a bit of a mood lately with the whole Sarah thing. “Alright babe I'm gonna shower and change, I'll see you in a bit” I pulled away, not before he pulled me back and placed one more kiss on my lips, and headed towards the bathroom to take my shower.

[Bay’s pov]

After another morning of training I head to the shower, she’s all I can think about. It’s always her. I’ve tried multiple times this week to try and talk to her, she’s avoiding me completely. How am I supposed to change her mind about this if she doesn't give me the time of day? Letting out a sigh I hop out and wrap a towel around my waist, heading to my room I yell out “bathrooms open!” knowing Alex, she’s going to want to rinse off all the sweat from this morning. 

I plop down on my bed and grab my phone from the night stand. Trying once again to get her to at least text me back. 

Can we please talk about this Sarah? I won't come to your house and try to see you anymore if you at least text me back and explain why you can't be with me? We are fated and I just want to know why. 

I hit send and tossed my phone to the side. Running my fingers through my hair, I stand up and get dressed. I still need to talk to Gram. I put on a plain white tee and grey sweats, not really feeling the need to wear anything else. It’s not like I have anyone to impress.

Heading out to the living room, I see Gram rocking in her chair reading her book. “Hey Gram, how's the book?” I realize lately Alex and I haven’t really been spending much time with her, and I feel a little bad about it.  She looks up at me and smiles as I sit down on the couch, while putting her book down on the end table. “Oh it's good dear, how are you doing?” 

“Well I'm alive, that's all that matters I guess. She still won't talk to me. Not even to explain why she can't be with me. Aren’t mates supposed to be inseparable like Alex and Jase? I don’t get it.” she looks at me with sadness in her eyes. 

“My boy, I hate seeing you like this! She probably has her reasons darling, just give her some time and see if she’ll give you an explanation. Sometimes there's more to things than what you can see on the surface.” I didn't say anything back to that. I just nodded and ran my hand through my hair. 

“Actually Gram there is something else I needed to ask you, Jase said he can’t help us train in wolf form and I was wondering if you knew anyone who could? Also you’ll be happy to hear that he thinks we’ll be able to start fight training and sparring after another week of workouts.” I smiled at her as her face lit up after I finished.

“That’s amazing! It usually takes a few months for beginners to get to the fighting portion! And yes I believe I know someone who can help train you guys! Give me a few hours to make some calls and I'll let you know!” She stood up and walked over to me, motioning for me to stand too, and pulled me into a hug. “I know I'm not your real Grandmother, but I love you and your sister as if I were. I'm so proud of you two. Will you call your sister and let her know we need to have a family talk later?'' She pulled away and headed towards her room, she doesn't have a cellphone so she uses a landline in her room. I go to my room to grab my phone to call Alex. Ugh. Still no response from Sarah. “I know I haven't talked to you much since everything happened. But leave her be for now. We will get our girl in the end. I know it. Focus on training for now” Jackson said and disappeared in my mind again. He’s right, I dial my sister's number and she answers after a few rings “Hey Bay, whats up?”

“Gram wants to have a family meeting later, she didn't say what for though”

“Alright I'll be back around eight, is that alright?”

“Yeah that's fine, have fun and stay safe, love you”.

“I will. Love ya too!” she giggled and hung up.

Now I just need to keep myself busy until eight. Great.
