Remus Lupin was in his sixth year of Hogwarts. The year was 1976, and he was about to f**k his best friend....... Now, dont get confused, Remus' crush did not grow over night. He has liked this rebellious boy ever since he was just a little scarred up, eleven year old kid. Six Years Before "Are you sure this is a good idea? He is a werewolf! He could hurt somebody!" "No son of mine, werewolf or not, will not be not attending Hogwarts! He will be a pureblood Gryffindor just like his father." "You gave up the pureblood thing marrying me Zyall!" "Exactly why the boy needs to redeem himself! The halfblood monster at least should be a Gryffindor!" Remus watched as his parents argued, the Hogwarts acceptance letter flying everywhere. He knew he was a disappointment, but he didn't want to be. Maybe if he got into Gryffindor, his parents would see him as his son instead of a monster. He thought back to last night, being trapped in the shed, chains and shackles holding him in place. He shuddered and turned his attention back to his parents. "Hope, he is going. So just shut your muzzle and hand me my lunch." Remus' mother was angry as she shoved her husband his lunch, "Have a nice day sweetheart," sarcasm laced her tongue, "Try not to choke on all the pride and bullshit that is coming out of your mouth on a daily basis." With that, she slammed the door to her bedroom, leaving just Remus and his dad alone in the kitchen. "We are going to Diagon Alley tomorrow. Be ready." Remus somehow felt this was a threat, but he still grabbed his bag and headed to muggle school. Months later, the scarred up boy stood infront of the large, red, train. He could smell the smoke from the engines and had to cover his ears when the loud horn blew. He watched as owls swooped around and screaming third years exasperatingly chased them. He checked his reflection in the window, fixing his light brown hair. He was quite a scrawny boy, you could see each of his ribs. Many passerbys would drop him some food. The boy's sickly pale skin did him no good. His faced was kissed with a few freckles, and his cheeks were often flushed. This gave him a much softer appearance regardless of his scars. He took a deep breath, both nervous and excited to see his new school. He boarded the train and was immediately greeted with loud chatters, kids yelling, shoving and running fifth years who seemed to be racing, and overall chaos. This was not doing well for Remus' anxiety. He pushed past the heaps of people and leaped into the nearest empty cart. He got out a nice book and got comfy on the clothe seat. He stayed this way for hours, a happy boy reading a book in peace. Not a monster, not a freak, not a disappointment. Just a happy, young, eleven year old. He had fallen asleep about two hours prior to when someone swung open the door, awaking Remus in a jolt. He looked to see a chubby, mouse eyed boy, who seemed to be running from something. "Don't tell them I am here, Don't tell them I am here!" The boy just kept squeaking this as he climbed under the seat. Remus was about to ask who was after the mouse like lad, when his question was answered. Two third year Slytherins came in, "Have you seen a boy named Peter. He looks like a rat. It would be hard to miss him." Remus just shook his head and said, "No, sorry." The two boys left grumbling. Remus helped Peter up and the two boys chatted the whole rest of the trip. Soon, the train halted to a stop and an older lady, whom he soon learned to be Professor McGonagall, called for all first years. Remus grabbed hold of Peter's shirt sleeve as they walked down the train, in hopes the bullies wouldn't get him again. They stepped off the train to wet pavement, it had clearly rained previously. Remus could smell the fresh rain scent and he looked over the lake. The bright moon was reflecting off, luckily it wasn't a full moon. Everything seemed so surreal and beautiful. It was amazing. He looked around at the other first years, a boy with disheveled hair and glasses, a girl with red hair, another boy with greasy black hair, and a plump boy with brown hair. The one that caught his attention was talking to the kid with disheveled hair. He was a little bit shorter than Remus, although Remus was quite tall for his age, and was wearing his cloak a bit off his shoulders. The beautiful boy had bright grey eyes, they matched the moon perfectly, but his eyes may be prettier than the moon. His hair was black and curly, very thick, heathy hair, you could tell he took good care of it. His hair came right below his ears, he must have been growing it out. Remus realized he was staring and snapped out of it. Boys weren't beautiful, he must have just been very desperate for friends. The first years continued their tour around the castle, it was very beautiful. Remus was almost tempted to call this place his home. What was his home? Where his mother and father stayed, he was mainly in the shack. He would never call that shack his home. Soon, they arrived in the Great Hall. They were in a line, waiting for the Sorting Hat. Remus was panicking, not just because he wanted Gryffindor to make his parents proud, but also because he behind the boy with the pretty hair. He tried to quit thinking about that and turned his attention to the sorting hat. The boy with crazy hair was being sorted. "Gryffindor!!!" He watched as the newly Gryffindor didn't act surprised, just walked to the table at sat down by the girl with red hair who seemed to be sulking. Next was the first year right in front of him, the one with the pretty smile, perfect hair- wait... he means... the one in front of him. Remus watched in awe as the lad sat carelessly on the bench. He acted as if he didnt care, but Remus saw the longing in his eyes. He wanted something, and apparently he got it, because as soon as the hat yelled "Gryffindor!" all his worries seemed to have vanished. Remus watched in glee as the boy ran to his friend and hugged him. When McGonagall called his name, he gulped back his fear and shakily climbed the stairs. He sat down, holding his breath, on the bench. He closed his eyes as the hat was set on his head, scared for the results. "Hmmmm" Remus' eyes shot open, he didnt know the hat would talk to him. "Lupin...Lupin...You'd be an excellent Ravenclaw. Your wits and smarts, sarcasm is like your second language." Remus felt like crying, he continued to chant in his head, "please Gryffindor, please Gryffindor." The hat mumbled some more, "You have quite a few secrets in this head of yours don't you Mr. Lupin..." Remus squirmed slightly, "Maybe even more than you being a werewolf..." Remus' breath hitch, "SHH!! No one can know about that!" "About you being bi?" Remus was so confused and panicky, " What?! No! I'm not- NO! I mean about the other thing!" The sorting hat chuckled, "Gryffindor!"
