While cooking steak with his son, Ivan was listening to the hushed voices of his mate and adoptive father. Ivan had to reel himself back when he heard the threat was approaching their territory fast.
Ivan listened carefully. He got the idea that their boss wanted Nyx to be present in every transaction and possibly fight the threat. Ivan called over Mara and told her to stay with Klaus as he walked back to the living room.
Celestino and Nyx stopped talking once he approached.
“Don’t bother to stop your conversation; I already heard it,” he said, and Celestino frowned.
“All the way to the kitchen?” he asked.
“Even if I am outside, I can hear you, and I am least happy about your arrangement to put Nyx in a very dangerous situation,” Ivan pressed.
