I tried calling back, but the phone was switched off. Fear and anger gripped me. I was scared of his words and threats to harm Nora, and I felt angry at myself for not being able to do something.
The door opened, and Leo walked in with his seer. "Please, see what you can do," I pleaded, and she nodded before sitting on the floor. With panic, I watched her recite some incantations while Leo and I remained silent, waiting for her to speak. After a few minutes, she finally spoke.
"She was kidn*pped through a teleporting system."
"By whom?" I asked, and saw the seer go silent for a moment before speaking. "By your first mate ex-lover," she announced, causing me to furrow my brow in confusion.
