Chapter 10If there was one thing Dexter knew a lot about it was pain. Physical, emotional—lock, stock, and barrel. He didn’t remember much about the accident that cost his mother her life and him his arm. He remembered waking without it, though. Remembered not realizing, at first, that it was gone. First feeling the shooting pains throughout the rest of his body. Screaming when he did realize. Mom was gone. Sister to take care of. No dad. Why would he come back?
