Chapter 7

"Yah!" I stretch my arms as I breathe the fresh air as soon as I get off the car that gets us to our destination. For the past six months, this is the first time we have been out of that place. And since we can't go to crowded places, this is what I chose and my friends joined my plan. "Shira!" Jelah calls my name as she walks behind me. "Of all the things that we can do, why did you choose to go here? Seriously? Mountain climbing?" I look at her and smile. "You know that I love nature as much as I love technology. It helps me calm myself and get some new ideas for every system that I created." This kind of place has the silence that I want that's why I always spare some time to do mountain climbing or go to non-develop beaches and falls. "But still." She crossed her arms. "Climbing this mountain?" I raise my eyebrow at her. "Why? Do you have a suggestion where we can go despite our current situation?" They didn't say anything and I think they already realize that. "Now that you mention it..." Kris sighed. "PYM will surely not allow us to go to the places we want to go." "Right," I said. "That's why we just have to enjoy the fresh air and the silent environment that this mountain has. Because I am sure that when we get back to the compound, they will start giving much more difficult tasks." "Well, that is possible." Ives put down the bags he was carrying. "Ayane told me that in our second year, they will start giving us jobs outside the compound as part of our training, and having this kind of vacation will only come once." "Let's just enjoy." I looked again at the beautiful scene in front of me. "Guys, set up the tent." I turned to them. "I will just check some parts of this mountain." I grabbed Jelah's hand and immediately pulled her away. "Hey," she exclaimed. "What are you planning to do?" "I need to find a perfect spot." "Perfect spot for what?" "I will explain later," I said. "But for now, I need your help. Look around and if you see some high place where I can put a signal receiver, then tell me immediately." "I don't like what you are planning, Shira." She pulled her hand away which makes me stop and look at her. "Are you going to do something against PYM?" "What?" I shouted. "I am not that crazy to go against that kind of organization. Besides, I don't want to harm them now because, during our stay in the compound, they took care of us." "Then, what are you planning to do?" I sigh. "I am interested in the main program that PYM is planning to launch," I said. "The thing about the spaceship." "And?" She raised her eyebrow, waiting for me to continue what I am going to say. "I pick this place because I learned that NASA will launch its rocket that will go to their satellite in space and it will be making its way near here so if I can have access to the system of the rocket, it will be easy for me to get the access on their headquarters. In that case, I will be updated on anything that may help me do the codes on the spaceship systems that PYM is planning to do." She sighed. "You keep doing things that are not necessary for you but because you love everything about systems and programs you are ready to do everything even if you know that it can give you so much trouble." "I won't be in trouble," I assure her. "And I won't do anything in their system. I just wanted to be updated on everything." She sighed again. "Fine. Tell me what I need to do. I will help you." It feels like there was torn being pulled away in my chest when I hear that. And not to waste time, I immediately give her the bag that I was holding. "You're much more athletic than me so I think you can give it a try." She opens my bag, looks at me, and nods. "I know what to do." "Okay." I get my laptop and start the sequence code that I need to access the system of the rocket. While Jelah already found the tallest tree that she can climb to set up the device I build to make sure that my signal will reach the rocket. "Did you check the exact time of the arrival of that rocket?" Jelah said after she secured my device at the top of the tree. Then, she immediately goes down and looks at my screen. "And where the hell did you get all the information about that rocket?" "I got it the last time I hack the PYM system," I told her. "And it is also the reason why I stop messing with their system." "Oh. So you found other things that will fill your head aside from the system of PYM whom you want to study." "Well, I still want to study that system 'cause it is cool." I look at her. "But I still need a lot of things before I perfect that one so I will focus on other things and this is my major project." She smiled and patted my hair. "Good for you. And I am sure; Meir will also appreciate it if you stop messing with them." "I will stop for now, don't worry." I turned back my focus on my screen when I detect the signal of the rocket. I started the right sequence to hack it and before it could reach the sky far from the surface, I finally got access. "Now, I can always get an update on their plan and proceed to my system that will sync to what they are doing." "Then, just like what we originally planned..." She pulled my laptop away from me and held my hand. "Let's relax and enjoy nature." I smiled. "Fine." Having this little trip will surely give us the relaxation that we need.
