Mina sat at the back of the common area in the Vampire tower, away from the other students. Everyone ignored her, which she much preferred to hostile glances and snickers aimed in her direction.
It was her first Vampire Survivalism class since her and Luca had last kissed. They hadn’t encountered each other since that incident, and she felt anxious at the thought of seeing him again.
She rested her elbow on the table and set her chin in her palm, wishing that Noah didn’t have to leave so suddenly. Just when things started looking up, and she had someone in her corner, she felt the loneliness envelop her all over again. He had only left last night, and she was already missing him terribly.
