Chapter 1

Hinihingal pa din ako hanggang sa makarating ako sa shower room ng kwarto ko. Mabilis kong hinubad ang damit sa katawan ko hanggang sa wala nang matira. Walang saplot na tumapat ako sa shower saka binuksan ‘yon.Cold water immediately dripped down my body. It was cold, yet it was relaxing me.

Mariin kong ipinikit ang mga mata ko, pero isa lang ang agad na pumasok sa isip ko.

"Alam mo bang may pumasok sa bahay ko kahapon, Ms. Francisco?" maya-maya, sinabi n’ya. I froze at his statement. I couldn't find the right words to say. I mean, bakit n’ya to sinasabi sa akin? Alam ba n’ya? Nakita ba n’ya ako?

"Nothing. I was just saying, there was this someone who barge into my place without my permission." sabi n’ya then pinagmasdan akong maigi. Napalunok ako. Ano bang sasabihin ko?

"Ahh, s-sir. M-masama nga po talaga n pumasok sa bakuran ng may bakuran na w-wala man lang paalam ng may-ari." sabi ko. Hindi na talaga ako komportable sa nangyayari. Para kasing hinuhuli n’ya ako e.

"Paano mo naman nalaman na sa bakuran ko s’ya nandon, Ms. Francisco? I didn't say that person only went to my backyard. I said it was in my house." sabi n’ya.
