~Drake
I don't want to waste another minute trying to find her so I called together a meeting of my closest wolves: my beta, best friend, and gamma.
"So, here's what we know. Savia turned 18, gained her wolf, and was just beginning to understand this world. She went to a graduation bonfire the night of the full moon, her first full moon since gaining her wolf. Unfortunately, she was alone for her first shift, but, thankfully, this also means no humans saw her turn. Her human friends heard her screaming." I flinch at the memory of my first shift and the pain it caused. "They found shredded clothes and her phone, along with wolf paw prints, certainly her own. Now here's what we can't confirm. She had to go running, after all what would the humans do if they came across her in her wolves form after thinking a wolf mauled her? The question is where did she go? She's been missing for three days now, today makes four. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?"
Jason stands up and grabs a local map before laying it out on the table in front of us and leaning over it. He grabs a marker and begins circling locations.
"Okay, so we know the bonfire took place here." He drew one circle. "Now assuming she could have only ran in three general directions, left, straight ahead, and right, she had a chance of running into two separate packs, a patch of rogues, or the town. If she ran into the town then she may have been shot, we would have heard about a wolf being found so close to us. I'm not sure the rogus could have found her without anyone knowing. They would have scented you on her. That leaves The Moonlake Pack and The Setting Sun Pack."
"Think we can count that one out don't you? Bunch of new age hippie wolves wouldn't hurt a fly. Savia would have come back with flowers in her hair smelling of weed and sage." My gamma says in a disapproving and mocking tone, swiveling in his chair with a look of disdain on his face, scoffing at the idea.
"We can't count out any options without speaking to the packs Alpha's and Luna's. 'New age hippie wolves' or not, a rogue is still a rogue. We don't have any idea how they treat rogues." I say in reply. "We don't want to start any wars."
"We can simply send out memo's through the Alpha Cross System and see if any of the others have a rogue matching her name and description. I'm sure she'll have asked for a way to contact Drakey-boy here anyway so it shouldn't be too hard."
The Alpha Cross System was created so the alphas of the packs could communicate with each other outside of formal meetings. Each pack has a designated wolf that will drive to the other packs gates, in a special vehicle, and speak to the other packs beta about what needs discussed. It's not fool proof, mostly dependant on how the other packs are feeling, but it was a system we needed to create.
There were too many unnecessary lost lives between all packs when matters needed brought to attention, not to mention all the wars between packs that started needlessly. All in the name of information or discussions.
"Fine." I sigh heavily and shake my head, defeated. "We can use the ACS. Who do we even have appointed for the position? Does anyone know?"
After about thirty minutes of waiting, a thin Omega came up, in the uniform for the system. He looked very bored and not very enthused. It's a rarely used system, but a respectable position for the job. It's dangerous after all. The young man must have thought it would be an easy job when he volunteered for it. At least he wears his uniform. He could be even less serious and wear sweats and a normal t-shirt.
"Alpha, Sir." He greets me and nods slightly.
" I need you to make two runs. One to Moonlake and one to Setting Sun. Ask if they have encountered any rogues named Savia. If they have, ask if she is safe and if they have her. If they have not, ask them to keep an eye out and an ear open when discussing rogues with other packs. Long silver hair and brown eyes. Really dainty. Got that?"
"Yes, Sir."
"Okay, so get on it."
If anyone has heard of her, it would have to be one of those two packs. I refuse to believe she would be somewhere hurt or dead. I still feel her connection, stronger now that she's shifted for the first time. I wish I could mind-link her and ask her where she is. I should have been with her. I should have marked her. I just have to hope she's being treated properly, and if she's not, hold back on my aggression. She's a rogue, wolf laws state rogues can be chased out, enslaved, or killed. It all depends on the packs Alpha and what they see fit. I really hope the Omega that I sent out is quick. I don't want to miss any more time with Savia.

After yesterdays talk with Lee I couldn't look at him the same way. He lied to me about why he was there, imprisoned just the same. No wonder no one believes me with him showing up too, but with ulterior motives of course. Makes sense. Makes perfect f-ing sense.
I sigh deeply and lean back against the cold stoney wall next to my cot. It's been four very long days and I just want to go home and sleep in my comfy, soft, and warm bed, all snuggled up under my comforter with my nice fluffy pillows.
I want to see Drake again, too. I miss him more than anything. I feel like I can feel him even though I know he's probably at his place and not even caring about me. Probably thinks I've dumped him and ghosted. I hope he knows that I haven't and would never do that to him. I need him like the tides need the moon. He's my balance, my voice of reason, the one I want to see the rest of my life through with. When I picture my wedding day now, he's the one I want waiting for me at the end of the aisle. I can't imagine it ever being anyone else. Him or no one.
I also want my mom badly. I want her to wrap her arms around me and make me feel safe like she used to when I was younger every time to was hurt, scared, sad, or had a nightmare. I wish this all was just a bad nightmare. She must be losing her mind and her self without me there. The mental agony and torment she must be feeling since my disappearance. I can't even begin to imagine losing a child and being scared and worried all day long, every day. She probably thinks I've been trafficked. I can just about guarantee that she's lost weight too, just like me. I wish I could just give her a call to let her know that I'm okay, even though I wouldn't be able to tell her where I am exactly. I'm not even sure where it is that I am. This is terrifying.
I just hope I can leave this place soon and that the wolves here will believe that I had no part in Lee's lies and deceit. I can't trust anyone. Not anymore, and especially not here.
I sigh heavily, my heart heavy with pain, guilt, shame, and sorrow. Just weeks ago I was a normal girl, a senior in school, a friend, a daughter... human. Now I know werewolves exist and who knows what all else that was just a myth, a fairy tale. Not only do they exist but I exist among them and their ranks, the lowest of them all and their hierarchy. Unclaimed but chain bound to a kingdom of howling beasts, like the creature inside my head that speaks when she feels up to it, like a never leaving voice and a body of opinions that aren't mine yet still belong, in essence, to me.
Savia. Vex whispers to me, grabbing my full attention. As if I could ignore her or tune her out when she literally fills my head.
Yes? I reply, my own response dull and void of emotion.
I believe things will be better soon. They have to be.
Can they though? I'm a rogue and tangled up in Lee's bs. They think we're a part of his spying group and now I don't know if we will ever be free from here. No one but my mom is probably looking for us. Maybe May and Brooke too but no one else.
You don't know that. There's no way for you to know that. What if Drake-
Drake probably thinks I broke up with him and don't want to see him He probably thinks I ghosted him.
Now that, I know, is definitely not true.
How, Vex?
Because he is our mate. Wolves don't tend to abandon their mates. Unless they have rocks for brains. The mate bond, that pull you have towards him, the need to be near him, that's so strong. He also didn't reject you so that's that. He wants us and loves us and I bet he's looking for us too.
I hope so.
