Angela stared up at the sky with a soft smile on her face, her heart felt at peace as her whole muscles stretched, nature had always been her source of calm. They loved everything about it, the way the trees submitted to the force of the wind, making its sweet, melodious sounds from its rustling, the sounds the wind made when it picked up speed, the way the earth smelt sweet and fresh whenever it was about to rain, the feeling of getting wet my nature, the beautiful colors of the flowers, she was in love with nature and she knew it.

She breathed deeply, taking in a calm breath. She closed her eyes ready to block everything out, but her plans were paused by a rustling in the bushes.

CHAPTER SEVEN.

The cold air teased the hair on Angela's hair as she shut up from the forest ground, her eyes roaming the forest. Fear gripped her, her lips quivering, it was now dark. The moon cast its little light on the sky, its light creating shadows, one that looked horrifying in Angela’s eyes. The trees swayed gently to the rhythm of the breeze. Angela squinted her vision to try to see what lurked behind the trees, but she couldn’t and it was useless trying.

The bushes rustled more and a low growl erupted into the night. Angela’s heart leaped into her stomach as she quickly jumped to her feet, sweat dripping down her face, as she looked around for a log to use as a form of defense, finding one. She hid it behind her back, gulping a large amount of her saliva. She stood waiting for whatever was behind the bushes to show itself.

The bushes rustled more before three rogues came out, their red eyes staring at her, saliva dripping from one of the rogue’s mouths as they growled and snarled at her, taking slow steps toward her.

Angela gets into defense mode, raising her piece of log ready to strike. The first wolf attacks her, aiming for her side. She swings her log and hits it square in the jaw. A painful crack cuts through the air. She doesn’t see the attacking rogue on time before it bites her in her side.

Angela screams, tears streaming down her face as she applies pressure to her wound, the log falls off her hands as she tries to stop the bleeding, and the rogues surround her with a wolfish grins on their faces.

They snarled at her attack, she shut her eyes ready for the impact. She didn’t think she would be saved from them. Her heart hurt as she thought she would never meet her mate since she was going to die at the hands of those filthy wolves.

They take gradual steps closer to her as she shifts backward, her gaze fixed on them.

The rogue took another step closer, holding a small woody substance. She hit the first rogue immediately as the rogue was about to attack her.

The rogue fell to the floor weakly. The two other rogues looked at her and then backed at their partner, angry with her for hitting their partner so roughly they attacked her immediately, not giving her a chance to defend herself.

She lost her balance and fell to the ground, giving the other rogue a chance to attack her more.

Different things clouded her mind as she tried to fight weakly and wished someone had been there to rescue her, she wished she had never gone deeper into the forest and she wished she had never been in search of her mate.
