Chapter 8

Jason POV “s**t!!!!!” I yelled inside my car while hitting the steering wheel.  Man I f****d that up, I lost my dame temper.  When she said ‘no’ I saw red and I lashed out at her.  Well she was acting like a b***h, what was the harm of spending another hour with me.  That fucken b***h, no one says no to me, I’ll show her what happens when I don’t get my way, what happens when someone says ‘no’ to me. With a smile on my face I started the car and pulled out onto the road.  I decided that a good night sleep was what I needed so in the morning I can make a plan on how I was going to attach this situation.  “Your time will come my sweet Summer, I will show you what happens when you don’t do what I say.  You are mine, always” Summer POV “s**t Summer, are you alright?”  Katie said concerned.  “You don’t look good.” “Jason is a bloody psycho!” I yelled while pointing my finger at the front door. Katie inhaled sharply with large eyes “what happen?” I started to explain what happened on my date from when I walked into the pizza joint and saw him sitting at our table, right up to when Katie opened the door and I ran in.  The look on her face showed many emotions, but the two main ones were anger and fear.  I ran over to the window to see if Jason was still parked outside but thank the stars he was already gone.  I turned back to Katie who had been standing silently.  It was my turn now to ask her “are you alright?”  Katie frowned “that fucken prick, who the f**k does that arse hole think he is, wait until I see that son of a b***h.  I’m going to kick his arse and then I’ll tell him to stay the f**k away from you.” I smiled; it always amused me whenever Katie went all mother hen on me.  “I’m alright Katie, I’ll just try to avoid him.” “Hell no, that means we can go to our local bar and I refuse to stay away because of that prick.”  I sigh “I suppose you’re right and he did apologies and I accepted it.”  “Exactly.  Come on let’s go to bed and get some sleep.” The next morning I went through my normal routine but the whole time I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being watched, maybe I was just being paranoid or something. Work was like any other Friday, kids were excited because the weekend was just around the corner, the teachers were just as excited to have a four day break from the kids because it was a long weekend with no school on Monday and Tuesday.  At lunch Katie and I made plans to have dinner at our local because we couldn’t be bothered to cook and we both thought it would be good just to get the whole seeing Jason out of the way, since in three months it will just be me because Katie will be gone and it will be easier if I wasn’t alone while facing him. The last bell rang for the day, I said my goodbyes to my students wishing them a ‘good weekend’, I grabbed my bag that ways behind my desk sitting on the floor when I heard the classroom door open, I turned around thinking it was Katie arriving so we could head home but it wasn’t it was Jason. I gasped and automatically took a step back “what are you doing here and how did you know where I work?” I said in a low voice because I was s**t scared.  Jason smirked, he actually fucken smirked like it was some kind of joke “I came to apologies for last night again.  You took off so fast I didn’t get to apologies properly.” “Look Jason, I appreciate the apology but I don’t appreciate you coming into my place of work.  This should have waited for a more appropriate time and place and I would like you to leave” I said as calmly as I could.  Just as he was about to say something Katie walked in and the look on her face said she was not happy with the situation she walked into.  “What the hell are you doing here???” she was fuming. Calmly I said “it’s alright Katie, Jason was just leaving” Jason looked at me with a look saying ‘I’m not finished’ then he looked at Katie.  She was staring daggers at him. He turned back to me and smiled “yeah I was just leaving; maybe we can talk again when you aren’t at work?”  “Yeah maybe” I said.  Jason turned to leave, as he was walking out Katie watched his every step, as soon as the door closed she turned to me, her eyes were shining bright and her fangs were out, then she growled.  Her wolf was close to the surface.  The only time she loses control is when she is pissed and she was pissed.  I smiled “it’s ok Katie, calm down, he’s gone now.  You don’t have to show me your wolf to tell me how angry you are?” Katie closed her eyes and took several deep breaths to calm herself down; by the time she looked up at me she was looking more like a human.  Katie growled “What the hell was he doing here?”  I sigh she obviously hadn’t calm down enough “he said he wanted to apologies again for last night.” “ok, but what the hell is he coming into your place of work?  And how did he know where you worked” “I told him I don’t appreciate him coming into my place of work and I asked him the same question” “AND!!” “AND!!” I said annoyed “he didn’t answer” Katie stared at me for a minute “do you think…..”  She wouldn’t finish what she was going to say instead she smiled “come on, let’s head home.  I think we should order in dinner tonight and avoid Jason for a few days just to be on the safe side.”  I smiled “yeah that sounds like a great plan.”  I locked the door to my classroom and we made our way towards the exit.  When we got to Katie’s the hairs on the back of my neck raised and I got that feeling again like I was being watched.  I paused just as I was about to open the car door and looked around at my surrounding.  “Is everything ok?” she asked “yeah, I think so.  It just feels like someone is watching me.”  I laughed “I know, I’m just being silly.”  “No it’s not silly, you should always trust your instincts” Katie looked at me like she wanted to say more but didn’t.  We both climbed into the car, Katie started it and she pulled out of her parking spot, as she was pulling out onto the road I was staring out my window towards the trees when I gasped and yelled “DID YOU SEE THAT?”  “WHAT!” Katie sounded alarmed.  “I thought……I thought I saw Jason.”  Katie slammed on the brakes and looked out the window to investigate “I don’t see anything” “Ignore me I’m just being paranoid.”  I said.  She turned and looked at me with a worried look “are you sure you are alright?  He really scared you last night didn’t he?”  I could feel a lump form in my throat and tears burning behind my eyes.  I tried to hold them back but a couple slipped out, I quickly wiped my face hoping Katie wouldn’t see them but with her super wolf senses she could smell them.  She grabbed my hand “hey, it’s ok.  As long as I am around I won’t let anything happen to you, I promise.”  I smile, ‘yeah but you aren’t going to be around forever’ I thought to myself.
