Pregnant At Sixteen

Chapter Eight

"Daddy please, I hate riding that school bus," Dani said as she was on her knees in her dad's room. He had woke up to Dani begging him for a car. If he gives Dani a car that means she will never ask for his help. He wasn't ready for that. He wasn't ready for his baby girl to grow up.

"Dani let me think about, now get out I'm tired," Julian said turning back over and pulling the blanket over him. Dani got up and walked to the door.

"Oh um, Mrs. Jones downstairs," Dani said walking out the room. Julian jumped up out of bed and went downstairs to see his godmother standing there with a black thick leather belt in her hand.

"Julian, hey are you doing?" She asked smirking at him. He ran and she chased him whopping him the belt. "Now sit your a*s down, where Devon a*s at, I done told y'all about not coming to see me, Dani probably the only that call and check up on me, y'all to busy  to come to see the lil old lady in the shoebox now?" She said hitting him one more time. He said down and touched his arm.

"I'm sorry I haven't even been in Atlanta, and Devon been with his pregnant girlfriend," Julian said rubbing his sore arm. Mrs. Jones looked at him confused.

"Pregnant?, Girlfriend? what's going on Julian?" She asked lost. She doesn't know anything anymore. Mrs. Jones starts caring for Julian and his family when his no-good wife ran off. They haven't seen or spoken to her since Ashanti left when Devon was 7.

"Yea Nia, she pregnant I thought he talked to when he came back," Julian said getting up. His body was sore. He had Mrs. Jones on him and now Dani begging him for a car.

"He came and saw me when he first came down the been almost three weeks like I haven't seen in a month, I'm going tell you like this, if I don't hear from you again I might slice your throat, now go buy that damn girl a car." Mrs. Jones said walking to the door. Julian looked back at Dani and sigh.

"Go get ready so we can go car shopping," Dani screamed and ran upstairs. He smiled and walked upstairs to go get ready. He was about to buy her a car and tell her what he really does for a living. He knows it's going be hard but she old enough to know these things.

"Daddy this is the car, you have to get this for me, it's so cozy and comfortable," Dani said as she sat in 2017 Chevrolet Equinox. Julian looked at it and her and shrug his shoulders. He didn't really care what car she got as long as she was happy.

"Come on let's go pay for it and then we going somewhere to eat and talk," Julian said as he helped Dani out the car. They went and paid and Dani drove her new car off the lot. She followed her dad. She was so excited. She had her car. Her dad only said she could drive it to and from school. She had to ask to drive it anywhere else.  They pulled up at a Lil small soul food restaurant.

Dani got out of her car and met her dad at the door. They walked in.

"Julian nice to see you again." One of the waitresses said as she walked to a table. Julian gave her a head nod. He and Dani went to sit down and grabbed a menu.

"Dani before we eat I have to tell you something," Julian said grabbing her hand. Dani looked at her father. What he going tell me his secret, I have been waiting for this. Dani thought as she gave her dad her full attention. "I'm a d**g kingpin, this here is my restaurant." Her dad said to her. Dani's eyes widened. My dad is a d**g dealer! She thought. She stared at him and Julian looked at her. Oh lord, now she hates me. He thought as they looked at each other.

"No, it wasn't even like that my nigga, my grandma going kill me," Mason said as he and Kane cleaned up the house. He had just found one of her homemade vases broke.

"Oh hell Ms. Janice going beat that a*s, I'm going make sure I will be here with some popcorn," Kane said looking at the vase. Mason looked at him.

"f**k you nigga." Mason said as he sat down. The house was a mess. They have been cleaning up since this morning. It five in the afternoon.

"You did that to Dani last night, damn Mason you got the pussycat early she in love nigga." Kane said eating some leftover pretzels. Mason looked at him.

"How did you know that?" Mason asked sitting up a Lil bit. Oh hell if he knows who else knows.

"I was coming to get you because Ciara a*s was tripping and I heard it, I doubt if anyone else knows man, stop worrying y'all secret not going get out," Kane said walking to the kitchen. Mason shook his head. He got up when he heard somebody beating on the door. He opens it and was slapped. He looked at the person and sigh.

"What do you want Ciara and why the f**k you just slap me girl?" He asked touching his cheek. She looks as if she been crying.

"Mason why you don't love me anymore, why can't you see that I love you, I and your child need you," Ciara said wrapping her arms around him. Child, what the f**k she talking about? He pushed her away from him and looked at her.

"What the f**k you talking about girl, you not pregnant with my child I know that for a fact, I wear two condoms with your a*s," Mason said looking at her. Ciara looked at him and tried slapping him again but he grabbed her hand. "I wish you would you crazy broad get off of my porch before I call the police," Mason said walking back in the house and slamming the door. He wishes should come back talking that bull s**t.

"That girl-crazy, you might want to go lock your backdoor," Kane said eating a sandwich. Mason just walked upstairs. He wanted to talk to Dani. She knew how to get him to calm down. Or make his night.
