Chapter Thirteen

"You feeling ok Dani?" Mason asked Dani as they sat in class. They all were back in school. It was a boring day. They were in third period and Dani was feeling horrible. Her stomach hurt and she was sleepy.

"Yes, I'm fine." She said grabbing her stomach. Mason looked at her and shook his head.

"Stop lying, I'm calling your dad," Mason said pulling out his phone. He texts Julian and told him to come to pick up Dani. She has been sick for an entire week and she keeps saying she fine. When she wasn't. Dani got up and rush to the trash can and threw up.

"Dani are you ok?" Her teacher asked her. Dani looked up from the trash can and at the door at her dad.

"I got it Mr. Hen, come on Dani I'm talking to the doctor today, Mason brings me her things," Julian said helping Dani out the classroom. Mason brought Dani stuff to Julian and looked at her.

"I'll call you later." He said kissing her cheek. Dani nodded her head. She and Julian walked out of the school and to his car. She got in the back and laid down.

"What's wrong Dani?" Grace asked as she looked at her. Dani just balls up in the back seat. Her stomach was killing her.

"I don't know." Dani cried. Julian looked at her through the rearview mirror and sigh. His baby girl. Dani hasn't got sick like this since she caught he flu two years ago. He hopes that wasn't the case again. Grace looked at Julian then back at Dani. Grace only being knowing Dani for about two and a half weeks. She didn't want to see Dani the way she is. She look horrible.

Julian pulled up at the hospital and pulled his wallet out. He pulled out Dani's health insurance card and tap Dani.

"Come on let's go, Grace, you coming in might be in their awhile," Julian said before getting out his car. Grace unbuckling her seatbelt and got out with Julian and Dani. They walked in and up to the front desk. The lady looked up and smiled.

"Yes how can I help you?" She asked eyeballing Julian. Grace looked at he and stood in front of him.

"Can we see a doctor, our daughter has come down with something, give us what we need to fill out and we'll give you everything you need." Grace said as nice as possible. She didn't like it when another woman was staring her man down. That's so disrespectful. The lady grabbed a clipboard and handed it to her. Grace smiled and they walked to sit down.

"You a jealous jealous woman, you don't have to worry about nobody taking me from with one of y'all, y'all my babies," Julian said kissing both Dani and Grace. Dani smiled a Lil bit. She wanted to get this over with and go home and laid down. Her stomach was killing her. She pulled out her phone and unlocked it. She with to toy blast and start playing it. She needed to do something to keep her mind off her stomach.

"Who Dani?" Julian asked Dani at her bedroom door. Dani looked up from her pillow and looked at her daddy.

"I'm not telling you because you might kill him and I can't let you do that," Dani said crying. Julian wiggle his nose and stared at his pregnant sixteen year old. Pregnant at sixteen. He never thought Dani would be so stupid.

"Dani tells me who it is or you going regret the decision I will make you make, now is its Mason or Trevor?" Julian asked getting annoyed. He was already disappointed in his child. She hasn't even finished damn the 11 grade and her pregnant.

"No daddy I can't , can you just leave it alone, it happen." Dani snapped. Julian laughed and walked out of her room slamming the door. Dani grabbed her phone and call Mason. She knew her daddy knew he just wanted Dani to confirm it.

"Yea?" Mason asked as he answers the phone. Dani was already crying and couldn't even get the words out her mouth. "Dani, what's wrong?" Mason asked concern. Never saw or heard Dani so distressed.

"Mason we have to talk." Was all Dani could get out before she hung up the phone. She got up and slide on her shoes. She grabbed her car keys and the hospital papers and walked out her room. She walked downstairs and heard Grace and Julian arguing. She walked out the front door and to her car. She got in started it and pulled off heading towards Mason house.

She pulled up at Mason house and saw him sitting on the porch looking like he was in deep thoughts. She got out and walked up to him. He looked up and got up hugging her. Dani cried on his shoulders.

"I'm sorry Dani, I'm really is, what we going do?" Mason asked as they just continue to hold each other. Dani didn't know what to do. She didn't know how to take care of a child. What if her dad make her move out. What if her dad stop talking to her. What if her dad don't want nothing to do with her. Dani had a lot of "what ifs" running through her mind.

"I don't know Mason I'm six weeks," Dani said pulling away and looking at him. Mason grabbed the paper out her hands and looked at them.

"The date corresponds with our first time," Mason said looking up at Dani.

"I know, so the c****m had to break Mason, your grandma inside?" Dani asked getting cold. She couldn't be at home right now. She just really wanted to be away from her dad. Especially when he mad and pissed.

"Naw, come on," Mason said opening the door for her. Mason walked in behind and they sat down on the couch. "Your dad already texts and threat my life, I'm a dead man walking," Mason said looking at Dani.

"You don't have to worry about him nor my brother, they mad now but will get over it, surprised Devon not over here," Dani said laying on Mason Chest. He rubbed her back and sigh.

"A baby tho Dani, what we going do with a baby, we only 16, well I'm about to 17 but still what are we going do about school and your appointments?" Mason asked Dani. He knows his grandmother about to flip the script.

"I really don't want to be in school, going through all of that," Dani said as she thought about. She didn't want to go through all of that. She didn't want people looking at her crazy. She already had everyone looking at it because of her weight. She didn't want to be up under all the pressure.

"So what you going do, I know your dad not going to let you drop out, I know you not thinking about that because I'm not going to let you do that," Mason said lifting her head and looking at her. Dani just looked down. She didn't know what to say. She was thinking about dropping out but she can do the online classes. That what she might have to do especially when their baby going be born. "Come on let's just go to sleep let's think about all this tomorrow when your dad and brother in the room too," Mason said laying down on the couch with Dani. He wrapped his arms around her and they just went to sleep.
