Chapter Five

"Dani comes on, you have to go," Dashona said begging Dani to go to Mason Halloween party. Dani looked at her. She grabs a cookie and dipped it in some milk.

"I don't know, how I'm going to go to his party and I can't even function in school around him," Dani said drinking her milk. Her stomach was killing her. It was that time of the month. She hated it. She just wanted to sleep. Dashona has been at her house begging her to go to the party since they got out of school. She won't go home until Dani agrees to go to the party.

"Girl that just because you like him, your insecurities get in the way of that, you go to this party get a lil somethings in your system and all that will go away, just please come, I can already picture you in a cute lil Pocahontas costume," Dashona said smiling and fluffy out Dani long black hair. Dani slapped her hand.

"Really Pocahontas, I'm too big to be in something like that," Dani said getting up. Dashona got up with Dani and looked at her.

"Please Dani, don't do this, come on go get out the house for a change, you haven't been the same since you and Trevor broke up, you have to let someone else in, I think Mason really like you," Dashona said looking at Dani. Dani just shook her head.

"He doesn't like me, he like the idea of me, everyone thinks she because I'm the big girl they can get what they want out of me, he just probably want to f**k me." Dashona shook her head.

"Everyone, not the same damn Dani, gets over that s**t, Trevor was an asshole, at least give Mason a damn chance the boy is love-struck over you. " Dani looked at Dashona stupid. Nobody was love-struck over her. She means nobody. Nobody wanted someone as big as her.

"If I saw I'll think about it would you stop bugging me?" Dani asked Dashona as she grabbed her some pajamas.

"Sure, I'll call you later, I'm about to go Hanna outside waiting on me," Dashona said texting her back. She grabbed her purse and walked out of Dani's room. Dani walked into her bathroom and shut the door. She sat in the chair in there and sigh.

Should I or should I not?, do he really like me for me?, Is he different from the other? Dani had a million thoughts running through her mind. She wanted the question to be answered. The only way for that to be is for her to go to this party. She might as well go, what problem will she have. She took her shower and walked out of the bathroom. A damn Pocahontas costume. She sat down on her bed and turn the tv to Law And Order Svu.

Her phone starts ringing and she grabbed it looking at it. It was an unfamiliar number. She answers it.

"Hello?..... How did you get my number?........... Are you serious right now, me as your date to your own party?........ I'll have to think about it, Goodbye." Dani said hanging up the phone. Now Dani Maria Brown why were you just rude to that boy? Her conscience asked her.

Dani sigh and sent him a text telling him sorry and that she will go to the party with him. She felt so bad but wanted to know why he was trying so hard. She just didn't understand.

"Are you serious right now Mason, texting and calling another b***h while I'm here," Ciara said to Mason as they sat in his living room. Mason looked up and laughed at her.

"You not my girl and I didn't invite your a*s here, so you gladly can take your a*s back home, Buh bye," Mason said texting Dani back. He didn't know why he even opens the door for Ciara a*s. She only came over here to f**k and that what they did. No, her presence was unneeded.

"f**k you!" Ciara said grabbing her things and walking to the door.

"I already did baby," Mason said laughing. Ciara was about the only female he didn't respect. Why should he when she didn't respect herself. He got up and walked out of the house. He saw people sitting on their porch. It's like 64 degrees and they sitting outside. Ok now.

"Hey Mason," Nia said walking towards him. Nia was his next-door neighbor. She was a cute Lil female. He knew her and Damn Devon was together. They about to have their first baby.

"Wassup with you girl," Mason said hugging her.

"Nothing much, what you doing out here this late, you have school in the morning," Nia said with her hand in her hip. Mason laughed and sat on the steps.

"Girl you ain't nobody momma yet," Mason said waving to Mrs. King as she got out her car.

"I know right I can't believe I'm about to be a mother, seven more months," Nia said rubbing her stomach. She smiled at the thought of her and the love of her life having their first child together.

"I see you happy, Devon happy?" Mason asked looking at her. She sat down.

"Yea, his dad was a Lil disappointed tho, but you all know how Bear gets, he still hard on you boys?" Nia asked as she texted Devon asked. Yes, Mason was walking for Dani them dad. That man moving major weight. Mason has been working for him for about three years now. He wasn't hard but that nigga had a temper.

"I mean he ain't that bad, he is out of town half of the damn time, Devon about to take over the trap I work out of." Mason said shaking his head. Devon as his boss. He wanted to see how this was going to work.

"He what!?" Nia said standing up. Oh s**t, what have you done Mason thought. He smiled nervously at her.

"Did I say, Devon, I met um got damn Devin not Devon," Mason said getting up. He dusty his pants off and looked at Nia. She shook her head.

"Don't be taking up for him, he fails to tell me something so important, I'm going have to go talk to his ass." Nia said walking off.

"Don't tell him I told you, I need my job and life," Mason said waking in the house. His big a*s mouth. Devon probably didn't want to tell her because she was pregnant.

He couldn't believe Bear was about to just give Devon the trap. He walked upstairs and into his room. He wonders what Dani was doing right now. He couldn't get that girl off his mind. She was just so damn.
