Pregnant At Sixteen

Chapter Nineteen

"You know what I don't even give a f**k no more everything is just going horribly right now," Dani said out of frustrates to Mason. It felt like everything everyone worked so hard for was going downhill because dad drugs business was becoming a big pain in Dani a*s ever since he told her about it.

Now Dani sees why he kept it a secret for so long. She wished it was still hidden but it's not. Her dad and Damon had to leave to go somewhere because of some drama, s**t just crazy. Dani just wanted her whole family together. She just hopes they make it back in time for Christmas because she didn't want to continue to be stress.

"Dani you doing a Lil too much right now, all that yelling and stressing is not good for our child," Mason said as calmly as possible. He didn't want to snap on Dani but she was pushing him. He was under a lot of stress just as well as she was.

His parents were at his grandmother's house, trying to control every move he makes. He thought everything was going to be cool this holiday but no. They both were frustrated this holiday season. Mason was ready for his folks to go back home, he wanted it to be just him and grandmother again. 

"You don't get it because your parents threw you away, I'm not about to let my dad them throw me away like I'm some neglected child." She said as she stood to her feet. Mason was in disbelief of what she just said to him. He knew Dani had a mouth but now she didn't care what came out of it. He knew it was time to give her some space, so he slipped on his shoes and grabbed his keys.

"You call me when you out your feelings." He spoke in a frustrated tone. He wasn't going to stay and nothing turn into something. He knew Dani was hormonal and in her feelings. When she gets like that, he knew to give her some space. He walked out of her room and down the hall and heard Nia arguing over the phone.

Jesus! He thought to himself.  Two pregnant women under one roof can't be good. He hurried down the stairs and out the front door. He wasn't even going go home because he didn't want to deal with his folks. Guess he'll go on the block.

"Aye Mas, where you been man?" One of the old heads asked me as I stood outside of the corner store I sell in front of from time to time, have to switch it up so the police won't get suspicious. Hell when he asked that question, Kane came to mind. I haven't seen or heard from that nigga since I got out jail, I wonder is his a*s ok. I need to hit up my nigga and see if he was ok. 

"I have been around OG, see you around though," I said as I dapped him and walked away. It was slow and I was getting hungry so I decided to head home to see if anyone cooked. Too many women in the house for it not to be, no food on the table. He thought to himself.  As he strolled the windy streets of southside Georgia.

All he could think about was Dani. He loved that girl and he never knew he could. Her and his child was everything to him right now. He just wanted to make his life right. Live better. He didn't have any idea on what they were having but he was going to be happy with a boy or girl. He just wanted a healthy child. Kinda made him feel sad because of what happened with him and Dani early.  She still hasn't called him, she must be still mad. He pulled his phone out and saw it was 9:34 pm. He needed to hurry and get home before his grandmother sends a search party for him. 

"Tell Devon him next!" Mason heard as he heard tires and gunshots ranged out. He as he turned on his heel and started running he felt a stinging sensation in his back and legs. He felt to the ground and gasp for air as he laid there just thinking about what could possibly happen next.

Dani laid in bed eating Moose Tracks ice cream and watching reruns of Pretty Little lairs. She was still mad about her dad them leaving for Christmas but mostly sad because she knew she made Mason mad earlier. She knew she hit a sensitive spot when she said what she said. She didn't mean it, she was just mad. It kinda just slipped out. She picked up her phone and saw it was 10:48 pm.

She hasn't heard from Mason at all. It was surprising, even when he mad he still text Dani and ask how she feeling. She must've really hit a nerve with what she said. She unlocked her phone and went to her contacts and to his name. She called him and it rang and rung then straight to the voicemail.  She tried two more times and still nothing. That was unusual. She sat completely up in bed and called his grandmother. 

"Hey, sweetie everything ok?" His grandmother spoke through the phone.

"Yes Ma'am, I was calling to see if Mason is around," Dani replied as she stood up and slipped on her slippers. 

"No baby he's not, matter of fact, he hasn't been home all day I thought he was staying with you tonight." She said, Dani, sighed.

"No Ma'am he left earlier, could you call me when you hear from him."

"Will do." They disconnected the call and Dani cleaned up her mess and headed downstairs to a quiet house. Now she wishes she was back in the apartment.  At least she knew there was somebody next door to her. She sat at the island in the kitchen and just thought about how her life used to be before she knew her dad was living a double life.  I wish she was still in the dark about everything.  She heard the alarm for the front door and got going to the foyer and seeing Grace come in.

"Hey, I thought you would still be sleeping." She spoke as she approached Dani. They hugged and headed back to the kitchen. 

"No, feel like that's all I do." Dani winced. Grace giggled at her as she grabbed some hot chocolate and cookies.  She figured since the men were gone, she and Dani could get to know each other some more.

"Welcome to pregnancy baby, come on let's go get sugar wasted," Grace said as she sat all their snacks and hot chocolate on two trays. Dani grabbed hers and they bottled headed into the family room. They sat down and started talking and watching movies. Dani just hopes Mason was ok. She was definitely going to make it up to him tomorrow.
