Chapter Eleven

"So what is y'all doing for thanksgiving?" Dashona asked Dani as they sat in her room. They had just got off of work and both were tired.

"Did you see that schedule today, I have to work Thanksgiving, I don't know why they open on that day anyway, like their going be food that people eat on Thanksgiving," Dani said putting her hair in a ponytail. Dani and Dashona work at the local supermarket close to Dashona house. They were shocked they hire them. It's not a hard job but the customers get a Lil nasty. But that's ever job.

"Damn that's crazy, I have to work the day after Thanksgiving I don't know how I'm going get up this way because I was spending Thanksgiving with Hanna, my mom going out of town with her boyfriend," Dashona said a Lil sad. She going to miss her mom, but she was really missing Hanna. Saw her girlfriend twice since they moved to the damn boondocks.

"Wish I could spend some time with my Bae and family, but my dad in New York this entire month, Devon spending time with Nia family and Mason going out of town to visit his family in Milwaukee," Dani said putting her phone on the charger. She was going to be all alone. It wouldn't be the first time.

She'll eventually go to Mrs. Jones's house and spends the rest of Thanksgiving with her. That's what she been doing for two years. She felt neglected. Nobody was around no more.

"Damn Dani, I thought I had it hard, your entire family away, maybe me and Hanna come to the grocery store and spend thanksgiving there, you know her sister doesn't like me," Dashona said laughing. Dani laughed too.

"I wonder why she doesn't like your smart a*s mouth, I remember when you Hanna first told everybody y'all was dating, her sister was so mad that she got drunk just go confront you," Dani said taking her shirt off. She stood up and looked in the mirror. Lord I'm getting bigger, Mason is not going like that, he going hate me. Dani thought as she covers her body back up. She lost weight and gain it all back in a week. How she didn't know.

"She sad man, said I turn Hanna gay but they fail to realize I'm bisexual I like both genders, Hanna just straight gay, she like nothing but pussycat," Dashona said declining the call from her dad. She didn't want to hear his damn excuse on why he couldn't come to see her this weekend. She knew it was going be somethings about Tiffany.

"Tmi Dashona, I'm going get in the shower, you brought your clothes with you, if so you know where the guest room at," Dani said walking in her bathroom. She shut and locked that door. She looked in the mirror and start crying. She felt so disgusting. Every time she tries to lose weight she couldn't. It just came back. She was just meant to be fat.

She wiped her face and walked to the shower. She turns it on and took her clothes off. She got in and just sat down and cried.

"Dani you ok, you been looking down since you got out the shower," Dashona said looking at Dani play with her food. Dani looked up at her.

"Yeah um." Dani was cut off by her feeling the urge to throw up. She got up and ran to the bathroom near the kitchen. She bends over the toilet and empties her stomach. She didn't know what that was about. Probably some bad Chinese food.

She got up and flush the toilet. She grabbed a paper towel and wet it. She wiped her mouth and her hands. She walked back to the kitchen and grabbed her food throwing it away. Didn't need that anymore.

"You ok?" Dashona asked looking up from her phone. Dani smiled.

"Yea, I'm about to go laid down, feel free to anything which isn't much," Dani said grabbing her phone and walking out the kitchen. She walked upstairs to her room and laid in bed. She felt so tired and sick. Never again will I eat from the Chinese Cafeteria. Dani thought as she balls up in her bed.

"So when we get back I'm going me this girl right?" Janice asked Mason as they sat on the plane. He didn't understand why his grandmother wanted to go back to Milwaukee. He didn't want to see his parents. They sent him to live with his grandma for a reason. Why remind him why.

"Hopefully," Mason said putting his headphones in his ear. He wasn't feeling this whole trip. He wanted to spend some time with Dani. They have hardly been seeing each other. With the block and her job. And school was about the only place they say each other.

"Oh my goodness looked at you, you done got so big, looking more and more like your dad each day." Mason's mom Jewel said hugging him. Mason hugged back. His mom is a well-known lawyer in their city.

When Mason starts running the streets and getting in trouble with the law. They had to send him away for his own sake. Mason didn't understand why but never question their decision. He likes Atlanta better than Milwaukee.

"I look like him, I think I look better. Mason said smiling. His dad walked in and looked at him.

"I don't know about that son, I still got the looks." Mason's dad said giving him a manly hug. Warren Collins well know Doctor in Milwaukee. Both of his parents were Havery Grads. They only had Mason and an adopted daughter.

Chloe, Mason's older sister. She was 28 married with a daughter. Mason and she really didn't talk. Mason really didn't talk to no one after his parents shipped him off to Atlanta to live with his grandmother.

"I think I stole them from you, do you see me right now, I'm the finer thing on god green earth." He said smiling and lifting his arms.

"You wish Mason, darling, how have you been oh my goodness you have gotta so big on me, just don't call no more do you," Chloe said hugging him. Mason laughed.

"Well, you know." He said smiling at his niece. She waved. "You don't have to be shy," Mason said picking her up. "What's your name?" He asked smiling at her.

"Chanel." She said.

"I'm Mason nice to meet you Nel." He said putting her back down. "So where is your husband?" Mason asked looking at Chloe.

"In California where I left him, let's not talk about me let's talk about Mason, I tried sending you some things for your birthday and they were sent back, tell me about that Mason," Chloe said as they walked to the living room.

"I don't need anything Chloe, I don't want anyone to feel like I'm just in need, I'm good, you can just call and check up on me, I'll make sure I answer the phone this time. Mason said smiling at her. She smiled and hugged him.

"I missed you and you going tell me about this girl that got your nose wide open." She whispers in his ear before kissing his cheek. He chuckles to himself. Lord! He thought.
