Chapter Seventeen

Mason got up off the couch when he heard someone knocking on the door. He was just about to lay down to. He has been tired as hell lately. All he does is sleep and eat, get that's was one of the symptoms of having a pregnant girlfriend. He looked out the blinds and saw Chloe and Chanel them. He smiled and open the door.

"Come here baby," Mason said to Chanel she jumps in his arms and he walked in the house leaving Chloe and her husband. They looked at each other and shook there heads. They walked in with their bags and shut the door.

"Thanks for nothing Mason," Chloe said sitting down. Mason laughed and looked at her. He looked at her husband and back at Chloe. "Jonathan, Mason my rude brother," Chloe said drinking her latte from Starbucks.

"Nice to finally meet you," Jonathan said shaking Mason's hand. Mason smiled.

"Likewise, So mom and dad know y'all down here?" Mason asked turning the tv to cartoons for Chanel. Chloe looked at her husband then looked back at Mason.

"Well they're coming down also, Mason please don't be mad," Chloe said. Mason looked at her and smiled.

"Can't nothing they say or anyone of that brings me down no more, I'm so done fighting, I just want to have a nice Christmas with my sister and her family and my girl and her family," Mason said grabbing his phone. He wasn't about to let no one get him down not anymore. He was about to have his baby, he was about to create a family. He had to be strong and stay strong.

"So when can we meet her?" Chloe asked. Mason looked at the time.

"Whenever my grandma gets back from the grocery store," Mason said getting up and walking to the kitchen. He grabbed some S' mores he had made earlier and some milk. He walked back into the living room and sat down with them. He handed one to Chanel and she smiled.

"Thanks." She said biting into it. Mason smiled. He wanted a baby girl but also wanted a boy, but he didn't want his boy to grow up as he did. He doesn't want to live what his parents lived through. He just wanted a healthy baby.

"So when are they coming down?" Mason asked drinking his milk. Chloe stops talking to Jonathan and looked at Mason.

"They supposed to be here, I don't know let us not rush them I'm not ready for the drama," Chloe said looking at her phone. She had something going on they didn't like and she didn't want to get into it but knowing her parents they were going make a big deal out of it.

"What you do?" Mason asked looking at Chloe. Chloe and Jonathan looked at each other and looked at Mason.

"I will no longer be a lawyer but I'm going be a swimsuit model," Chloe said trying to keep a straight face but couldn't she and Jonathan bust out laughing. Mason looked at them confused.

"Ok, what's really going on?" Mason asked confused as f**k.

"She going stop being a lawyer but she going start her singing career, I got her in the studio, and that what she wants to do," Jonathan said looking at Chloe. Mason smiled.

"About damn time you following your dreams and not theirs, I'm glad," Mason said smiling. The door open and his grandmother walked in with his parents behind her. He slightly sighs to himself and stood up to help with the bags. He walked into the kitchen and sat them down. His grandmother walked in and looked at Mason.

"Mason I want this to be a nice Christmas, no drama, you going tell them about Dani and the baby and they going accept it, I talk to them now you have to talk to them." His grandmother said taking everything out of the bags. Mason kissed his grandmother's cheek and walked out of the kitchen.

"Glad to see you guys again but there something I need to tell you," Mason said looking at both his parents. Chloe stood up too.

"Me too," Chloe said. Mason looked at her and their parents looked at them.

"My girlfriend is nine weeks pregnant." Mason just said quick and in one breath. His parents just nodded their heads.

"It's your responsibility, not ours, you made your bed now you have to lay in it, but we will like to be in our grandchild life," Warren said looking at Mason. His mother agrees and Mason sigh in relief.

"Well I'm going stop being a lawyer and going sing, sorry but that not my dream that your dream and Jonathan is hooking me up with the best in the business, I just want to be free I'm tired of fighting with you all time for me to live my life," Chloe said looking at her parents. They smiled and stood up. They hugged Mason and Chloe.

"We're going be there for you guys no matter what." Their mom said. Mason and Chloe looked at each other confused. They weren't about to ruins the moment so they agreed.

"Ok, now we can go meet our future grandchild mother, well my great-grandchild." Mason's grandmother said. They all smiled and walked to the door.

"OMG really James, you messed up the cookies," Dani said to him. He laughed and ate one.

"That was for me personally, that Lil bit cream not going help nobody." He said looking at the cookies Dani was putting cream on.

"Everyone doesn't have a sweet tooth like you, sir, so leave please," Dani said pushing him out the kitchen. He laughed and walked into the living room where everyone else was.

"Dani!" Her father yelled. Dani sigh and wiped her hands on the towel and took the apron off. She walked out of the kitchen and into the living room and her eyes widened. She smiled and went toward Mason.

"You could have called and warned me." She said as he bends over and kissed her cheek.

"I couldn't." He said smiling. They pulled away and she looked at his family.  "These are my parents Jewel and Warren, My sister and her husband Chloe, and Jonathan and my baby Chanel," Mason said picking up Nel. Dani smiled.

"Nice to finally meet you all," Dani said smiling.

"Oh my god Mason you didn't tell us she was so beautiful, you are one of a kind look at you glowing," Jewel said hugging Dani. Dani smiled and hugged back. Ok, she nothing like Mason said she would be. Dani thought to herself. They pulled away and Chloe attacks her.

"I been waiting for this moment for so long girl I'm so happy to finally meet you I hear nothing but good things, you keep my brother floating on water," Chloe said smiling at Dani. Dani smiled back.

"Well, we are a perfect match," Dani said looking at Mason. Everyone sat down and Dani looked at her dad and Grace.

"How about we all go out and have a good time get to know each side because we are going to be spending some holidays together more often," Julian said getting up. Grace stood up with him.

"Yes, we can go Bowling somethings me and Devon been talking about for the longest," Grace said smiling. Everyone agrees and they all stood up and walked to the door. Dani pulled Mason back and kissed him.

"We going have to get some privacy because the way my hormones are set up, I could attack you right here right now," Dani said looking at Mason. He smiled and kissed her lips.

"I got you, baby girl, now come on let's go." He said grabbing her hand and walking out the door. They smiled and each other and got in Mason's car.
