Pregnant At Sixteen

Chapter Two

"Dani where did these damn insecurities come from, every since you saw Mason yesterday you been talking down on your damn self, I don't like that." Dashona said as her and Dani sat in lunch. Dani was still talking down about herself.

She just knew Mason wouldn't go for someone like her. She knew for show, she couldn't talk to that boy. She stared at him all day. They had three classes together and Dani just wanted to say something to the boy.

"They here Dashona, ok I don't know how long they going be here but their here and you can't stop me from talking down on myself." Dani getting up and stormed out of the cafeteria. She ran into a hard body and felled to the ground.

"I'm so sorry are you ok?" The man asked as he helped Dani up. Dani looked at the one and only Mason.

"Um." Dani said running to the bathroom. She walked in and ran to a stall. The nervousness was killing her. The embarrassment was getting to her. She heard the bathroom door open and heard a voice.

"Dani!?" The person called out. Dani flushed the toilet and got up opening the stall door seeing Mason standing there. What is he doing in the girls bathroom? Dani thought as she looked at this boy stand in front of her. He was so fine to her. She wish she could open her mouth. "You ok?" He asked walking up on Dani. Dani backed up. He stopped when he saw she was afraid. Dani just nodded her head. Mason smiled and walked out the bathroom.

He walked to the cafeteria and to his boys Dapping them. He sat down and pulled out his phone. 

"Why was you talking to Dani fat a*s?" His ponta Greg asked. Mason looked at him crazy. He didn't like when a person disrespected a female. He didn't care how they looked. It was all about respect.

"Don't talk like that about a female dawg, I don't care who you are I'll beat yo a*s right now right here if you disrespect another female in front of me." Mason said through gritted teeth. His fist was balled and he was mad as hell. He just got up and walked out the building. He had to go get his supplies to sell anyway. He was 16 but his grandmother taught him how to treat a lady. Them niggas just didn't care.

"Dani you ok girl?" Hanna asked Dani as they sat in health class. Dani looked up at her and smiled.

"Yes I'm fine, why you ask that?" Dani asked as she looked back down. She couldn't keep eye contact with anyone. She felt so embarrassed. Ran into that boy and couldn't even say nothing but um.

"You been sitting here mumble to yourself for the whole hour we been in here, is this about what Dashona said to you earlier, I'm going have to talk to that girl." Hanna said shaking her head. Her girlfriend could get a lil controlling and rude sometimes. Her mouth was like a damn rap song. She didn't care what came out of it.

"No I'm not worried about what Dashona said earlier, I know how she can get, it's nothing I'm just thinking about somethings." Dani said looking at the movie they was watching. She didn't know what they was watching she was just in here doing nothing. She couldn't stop thinking about Mason.

The bell rung and Dani got up. She grabbed all of her things. She walked out the class and out the back door going to the car area. She saw her brother and she walked to the car. When she got to the car she saw him talking Mason. Why lord why! Dani thought to herself.

"Ight, I'll see you later." Devon said dapping Mason. Dani just got in the car. Devon got in and stared the car and pulled off. "You good?" Devon asked looking at Dani. Dani looked at him.

"Yea I'm as fine as a sunflower in the flied." Dani said smiling. Devon looked at his sister weird. He pulled off but still thinking about Dani. What the hell done got into her? He thought to himself. He just drove to the house. He'll get to the bottom of it before the day over with.

He pulled up at their house not their apartment and Dani looked at him.

"What we doing here?" Dani asked as she saw her dad car outside.

"The house finished." Devon said getting out the car. Dani got out the car and ran to the door. She open it and went straight to her room. She open the door and felled on her bed.

"I missed you so much." She said hugging her pillows. She heard laughing from the door and she looked up. "Hey daddy." She said getting up hugging him.

"Hey baby girl, I see you're enjoying your new room." He said looking around. Dani looked around and laughed. She wasn't worried about the room. She just missed her bed and bathroom. Come to think about it her bathroom. Dani got up and went to her bathroom.

"Ahhhh!" She screamed as she saw her bathroom remodeled. "Oh my god daddy thank you so much." Dani said hugging him. He laughed.

"You welcome baby girl, get cleaned up we going out to eat." Julian said kissing his daughter forehead.

"So how is school going so far?" Julian asked his daughter as they all say in Outback Steak House. Dani looked up from her phone.

"I guess it's going good, it's just the second month." Dani said as she texted Dashona back. She was really getting on her about her insecurities. They come and go. Yes Dani felt like she wasn't worth nothing but when's he was around her father and brother she felt like she was the most beautiful female on god green earth.

"Y'all not getting into no good learning, what about you Devon?" He asked looking at his son on his phone. He shook his head. "Give me y'all phones, I brought y'all out to talk not for y'all to be on the phone." He said with both of his hands out. They put there phones in his hand and sat up straight.

"Dad their somethings I need to tell you." Devon said as he looked at him. Julian looked at him.

"What is it?" Julian asked. Dani looked at her brother too. It had to be juicy.

"Nia Pregnant." Devon said talking about his girlfriend. Julian start choking. He grabbed his water and start drinking it.

"How the hell that happen, not you never heard of rubbers." His dad said. Devon head dropped. He was only 21, and still in college. He wasn't ready to support for a family.

"It just happen, I got a job I just wanted to tell you, so you wouldn't have to find out on your own."

"It's ok son, I'm going be with you on this, Me and Dani." Julian said looking at her. Dani raised a eyebrow. She wasn't about to take care of no babies. She was only 16.
