Pregnant At Sixteen

Chapter Ten

"You getting thick for some," Dashona said slapping Dani butt as they walked around the mall. They came here after school just to get some things. Dani looked at her crazy. She was drinking a lager ice coffee from Starbucks. She doesn't even like coffee but she had to have that.

"Girl shut yo mouth, nobody getting nothing, I have been feeling light tho, guess my workouts are working," Dani said drinking her drink. Dashona looked at her kinda weird.

"You feeling ok?" Dashona asked as they sat down on a bench. Dani had driven here in her car. She knew she wouldn't hear the end of that with her dad.

"Yes, I'm fine, why you asked that?" Dani asked as she starts Cheesing on her phone. Mason had texted her. She felt so much better about herself. She texted him back and looked at Dashona. "You and Hanna talking again she hasn't been in school," Dani said drinking the rest of her drink. 

"She moved and go to another school, ain't that some s**t, when I want to see her I have to get my mom or sister to drive me 45 minutes to her house," Dashona said shaking her head. Dani shook her head.

"She could have worn a nigga got my best friend all sad," Dani said touching Dashona shoulder.

"b***h you did get some d**k and didn't tell me, so how was it, was he big?" Dashona asked looking at her excited. She knew it was something up with Dani. She never smiled this much. She was Cheesing from ear to ear.

"I'm not discussing that with you here or nowhere else, that's for me to know and not you, now come on I have to beat my daddy home," Dani said looking at the time. They got up and walked out of the mall.

"You going tell me about it, and I don't want to beat it out of you," Dashona said getting in the car. Dani laughed and got in also. She started it and pulled off.

Dani ran into the house and to the living and sat down. She grabbed the throw blanket and turn the tv on. She pulled her phone out and got on snapped.

"I know you didn't come straight home Dani, your car still hot and your light on," Julian said as he looked down at Dani. f**k! She thought as she sat up.

"I just went to Starbucks and dropped Dashona off, that's all daddy." She said looking at him.

"That's ok, but if your car gets in a wreck or anything happens to it that's your fault, fill out jobs application, you gotta start learning some responsibilities," Julian said kissing her forehead. A job, responsibilities, what he trying to do to me? Dani thought as she got up going upstairs.

She walked into her room and went her dresser to grab some pajamas. She needed to wash. Lord responsibilities. She thought once again. It was getting to her.

"Yes a job never thought my dad will tell me his baby girl to get a job, I'm still a Lil shocked that he told me that," Dani said to Dashona over the phone. She was in the kitchen eating when she called. She had to tell Dashona about that.

"Well you are 16 and can work, I was thinking about getting one too, maybe this weekend we can go job hunting," Dashona said on the other side of the line. Dani pulled the phone from the ear and looked at it. She didn't want any job. Not at sixteen anyway. Her dad was up to something and she knew it.

"Yea I'll think about it, let me call you back my brother calling me," Dani said hanging up the phone and answering it for Devon. "Yea?"

"Come open the door." Was all he said before the phone hung up. She got up and walked to the door. She opens it and saw him with hella bags.

"Ok, what is all that?" Dani asked as she looked at him. He dropped them and stretched.

"Baby stuff, I got baby fever, don't tell Nia she going have a fix," Devon said smiling. He walked to the kitchen and Dani follow.

"Baby stuff y'all don't even know what y'all having and you already out shopping, do-dad know?"

"Na-."

"Do I know what?" Julian asked walking in the kitchen. He walked to the fridge and grabbed some milk. Devon looked at Dani and she shrugs her shoulders. "Y'all going continue to have y'all conversation or continue to hide it from me?" Julian asked drinking his glass of milk.

"It's was nothing right Dani?" Devon asked giving her the eye. He didn't want his dad to know he was out shopping already. He already had to hide the fact that he was turning one of the guest rooms into a nursery.

"I guess, I'm going to bed," Dani said grabbing her books and phone. She walked out of the kitchen and upstairs to her room.

"Nana you been here for 2 minutes and you already cursing me out, can I go to bed now?" Mason asked his grandmother as he yawned. She slapped him upside his head.

"Boy shut the hell up, you were trying to sleep when you out there talking to that damn girl, now why did I hear her say she was pregnant Mason you promise me that you were using condoms," Janice said looking at him.

Mason sigh. He didn't want his grandmother to find out Ciara trying to pin her baby on him. The girl was already showing. How is he the father?

"It's not mines, I swear I do use condoms, that girl just crazy, I swear I haven't got anyone pregnant," Mason said getting up. Janice looked at her grandson and shook her head.

"I'm going to talk to her father tomorrow, so we can get a DNA a test done, I don't need that kind of stress Mason, now go get some sleep." She said kissing his cheek. He walked upstairs and into his room.

Damn Ciara's dad, his grandma was about to get a case. She wasn't playing with Mason a*s. He only 16 and hardly know how to take care of himself. How he going to take care of a child.  Mason laid down and soon fell asleep.
