Surprise….

“Babe… I’ll take you to dinner, tonight, okay… My treat…. I’ll pick you up at seven….” Said Freddy, after handing the girl the lemon iced tea she ordered when they were on class break at the cafeteria which become the witness of the unique and random relationship of the couple…

“What’s the occasion, d**k…?” She asks, for she couldn’t remember any special event she has to celebrate that day….

“I’ll let you know this evening…. See you tonight, babe…. Sorry, I have to see our tutor…” said Freddy who rushed out of the cafeteria, and that makes Febri frowned…

He hid something…. It’s not like him just to run off like that…. What the hell is going on…? She thought….

Her heart beat faster….

She never like it when she was put in the dark like this..... She doesn’t like surprises….

And she was nervous, anxious as she was looking at the clock on the wall at her house, every ticking of the seconds of the watch sounds like a barrel of a revolver was being turned and the trigger was pulled at empty chamber….

She keeps on pacing back and forth, feeling nauseous that she was about to throw up and wanted to calls her partner to cancel the night

But before she calls, the security called her…

Sorry Miss, there a Freddy, here, at the security post…. Do you wish to meet him….?

Febri hesitates…. She had this feeling that something bad was about to happened if she met the man…

But to see how happy and sincere her partner was, she couldn’t have the heart to say no, so when the security asked her for the second time, she sighs and said…

“Yes, sir, please let him pass….”

And when she opened the door, her heart sunk…..

She feels a little awkward since she was wearing her casual unbuttoned flannel shirt, her black-coloured t-shirt, her faded coloured blue jeans, and a pair of sneakers, while Freddy wears a nice, ironed shirt, he rarely wears, his hair was tidy and obviously had been taken care off by a barber, and he wears khaki trousers and a slip-on shoe….

He looked handsome, clean, and smells nice….

What the hell is going on…? He never wears perfume before….? Thought Febri getting more and more awkward…. Though his perfume doesn’t bother her since he chooses the lightest smell there is so it will not bother her….

I should reject this….. I feel something terribly wrong will happen…. She though….

But before he could say anything, Freddy already says…

“Are you ready, babe…? Let’s go to the café….. I’ll tell you everything there….” He said that makes the girl frowned in her heart, but take her motorbike and together they ride to the café they frequent off…

Febri can feel the drumming of her heart on her ears as they entered the café and the waitress ushered them to their special spot that already had reserved sign on the table…

She feels uneasy when Freddy acted like a gentleman and pull thee chair for her before he takes the seat in the opposite to her….

“What is it, d**k…? What is going on…? What with the secrecy….? C’mon…. You know I hate secrets and surprises… C’mon… Just spill it already….” She asked as the food were placed on the table before them….

“Well…. Happy birthday, Babe…” He said happily, as he takes out and handed the girl her id card….

“You are actually older than me…” He said, chuckling to the fact….

BAAAAMMMM!!!!!

Crack!!!!!

The whole café stunned and fell silent….

Freddy never saw it coming…

Febri jumped off her chair and with a speed of lightning throw a powerful punch straight at him, breaking his nose and makes him falls back along with his chair, backward and had his head knocked on the floor really hard, it makes him dizzy and his ears ringing….

“Ugh… Babe….” He tries to talk but the girl already kneeling on one knee over his body, grabbing him by his collar, and her hand still clenching and show the trace of blood on her knuckles….

Freddy looked terrified as he saw the killing gaze from the furious girl, whose right fist still drips the blood from his broken nose….

Harshly the girl releases her grip as she pushes the young man, making his head knocked on the floor….

She then stands up and leaves the young man who crouch at the floor, holding on his bleeding nose….

The news about the incident quickly went viral and spread like wildfire, especially when people started to uploaded the attacked online and other started to reposted, stitched it, or making a review video out of it…

Even in the campus… the incident making the top, hot gossip around…

Freddy tries to ignore the sudden spotlight that falls right on him, and tries to attend classes as usual, even when his nose was much better, although it still throbbing in pain…

He sighs as he looked at the empty chair next to his…

It’s been three weeks that the girl absents from classes…

Where is she…? Is she alright…? Het thought, worried about the girl that he cannot contact at all….

It’s not like the last big fight they have about the position, this time it was completely different….

She was gone….

Even when he tried to come to her house, the security tells him that her house was empty, that she left town the very next day after the incident….
