"How sure are you that Yennefer killed Sophia?" Alec asked as he hurried after Soren, trying to keep up with his long strides.
"Who else would target her?" Soren snapped. "Yennefer must have suspected something. But what I can't understand is how she suspected it."
Alec stopped walking as realization dawned on him.
"Oh damn." He muttered.
Soren turned around, frowning deeply. "What is it?"
Alec looked like he would shoot himself if he had a gun. "I think I know how she suspected."
"How?"
"The night she had the miscarriage, she kept asking for you." Alec explained. "She claimed you needed to be with her as the father of her child. I got annoyed and told her to drop the act. I told her everyone knew you weren't the father of her child."
