It had been two weeks since Astral and I had managed to sneak into my apartment to gather a few essentials. I was able to pack a light knapsack with a second pair of leggings, two more shirts, a few toiletries, and was even able to retrieve the orb from its hiding spot in the crawl space above my attic. I nearly didn’t make it back out when I heard keys in the front door. Barely able to breathe, I had gone out the kitchen door to the balcony and climbed down to the second-floor balcony.
