Running into one's "late wife" on the first day of school
—The following is a preview—
"Do you think faking death would let you get away?"
Yilandi’s fingertips brushed Yan Xi’s carotid artery, blue currents pulsing across her skin. The student council president and campus tyrant leaned down, whispering in her ear, "Now, it’s time to settle our three-year scores."
Yan Xi’s life at Sail University has been fraught with fatal allure from day one:
By day, she is Yilandi’s "special assistant," forced to endure his retaliatory "personal guidance."
By night, Nuoyier traps her in the archives, making her relive every love phrase from their past online relationship.
During club activities, Blake always manages the most ambiguous physical contact under the guise of proper instruction.
And beneath her current boyfriend Lei Yi’s gentle exterior, a controlling urge teeters on the brink of collapse.
Four men, four dangerous relationships:
Yilandi’s punishment game: every private moment forces her to atone for "faking death."
Nuoyier’s data recovery: hacking her terminal to unearth all evidence of her lies.
Blake’s silent hunt: doing the boldest deeds with the utmost restraint.
Lei Yi’s gentle trap: the more attentive he is, the more spine-chilling it becomes.
[High-energy alert]
• Pinned by Yilandi in a surveillance blind spot, Yan Xi’s terminal suddenly lights up with Lei Yi’s message: "Need help?"
• Nuoyier traps her in the office, a flicker of cruelty in his eyes: "Got bored and tossed me aside? Who do you think I am?"
• Blake blocks her in the locker room: "Xixi, I don’t want to play this brother-sister game with you."
• Lei Yi smiles and crushes the water cup: "It seems my girlfriend… is quite popular?" (No relationship in the early chapters; they start dating later.)
This is no love triangle.
It’s a deadly game of survival.
When credits become chips,
When secrets turn into leverage,
When exes form a temporary alliance,
Yan Xi finally realizes:
In this university,
Either conquer all the hunters,
Or become their prey.
All My Exes Are at Sail University, I’m Done
A life-or-death forbidden game
is about to begin.
(Kind reminder: Prepare cooling items while reading—don’t let your heart race too fast.)
——
—The text begins—
Me, Yan Xi, an ordinary elf girl (self-proclaimed), finally got accepted into Thale University!
—And then I face-planted right at the school gate.
"Ouch... that hurts, that hurts..." Yan Xi grimaced as she picked herself up from the ground, dusting off her skirt. When she looked up, a few senior students at the entrance were visibly stifling their laughter.
Great. On the very first day of school, I’ve already achieved the "socially awkward" milestone.
Yan Xi pretended to be unbothered, smoothing her long silver hair before striding confidently into the campus.
"Thale University, here I come!"
—And then, the next second, she froze in place.
Because she saw someone who absolutely shouldn’t be here.
Elandy!!!
Black short hair, blue eyes, dressed in a black uniform, hands in his pockets, standing coldly at the freshman registration desk like someone owed him eight million bucks.
…What the heck?!
Yan Xi’s brain short-circuited instantly.
Wasn’t he supposed to be at Thunder Academy?!
Wasn’t he supposed to be a million miles away from me?!
Didn’t he… think I was dead?!
Yan Xi immediately ducked her head, pretending to adjust her backpack straps, her heart pounding like crazy as her mind raced:
Crap crap crap crap crap…
Is it too late to drop out now?!
Three years ago, Elandy and I dated.
—And then I dumped him.
—In the most ruthless way possible.
I lied to him, saying I had an incurable disease and was about to die. I even put on a tearful "final farewell" performance before transferring schools and vanishing without a trace.
…Looking back now, I was truly a genius.
Back then, Elandy was fierce, arrogant, and domineering, but he was actually really good to me—just a bit possessive, a bit hot-tempered, a bit violent in fights…
…Wait, now that I think about it, maybe my escape was justified?
But this is no time for self-reflection!
Because—
"Hey, you there."
A cold voice sliced through the air from above her.
Yan Xi stiffened, slowly raising her head to meet a pair of sharp blue eyes.
Elandy looked down at her, eyebrows furrowed. "You’re a freshman?"
…He doesn’t recognize me?
Yan Xi instantly exhaled in relief and nodded eagerly. "Y-yes! I’m a freshman!"
He stared at her for two seconds before suddenly reaching out, gripping her chin, and forcing her to look up.
"Have we met before?"
…Oh no.
A cold sweat broke out on Yan Xi’s back as she forced a laugh. "Senior, you must be mistaken! I’ve got one of those generic faces, haha…"
He narrowed his eyes, fingers tightening slightly, his tone dangerous. "Is that so?"
Help! His grip is so strong! My chin’s gonna shatter!
Just as Yan Xi debated whether to fake fainting, a gentle voice suddenly cut in from the side:
"Elandy, don’t scare the freshmen."
Yan Xi turned to see a golden-haired, green-eyed senior with a warm smile.
An angel!
Elandy scoffed, releasing her before tossing out, "Join the class group yourself. Don’t be late for tomorrow’s meeting." Then he walked away.
Yan Xi clutched her chin, gasping in relief.
The golden-haired senior smiled at her. "Don’t mind him. He’s always like that. I’m Ray, the student council vice president."
Yan Xi nearly teared up with gratitude. "Thank you, senior!"
Ray nodded and went off to handle other matters.
Meanwhile, she stood there, watching Elandy’s retreating figure, screaming internally:
—Can I even survive this school?!
Ten minutes later, Yan Xi shakily opened the class group chat, only to see the announcement boldly stating:
[Class Advisor: Elandy]
……
……
……
I! WANT! TO! DROP! OUT!
*
Yan Xi dragged her suitcase to the dormitory door, took a deep breath, and exhaled.
"Room 303… this is it!"
She pushed the door open, revealing a spacious triple room—bunk beds with desks below, each paired with a wardrobe. Sunlight streamed in through the window, making the whole place look clean and bright.
"Hah… finally, I can catch my breath."
Just as Yan Xi set her luggage down—
"AHHHHHHH—!!!"
A shriek erupted from under the bed, followed by a girl with long dark-purple hair suddenly darting out from beside the desk and latching onto Yan Xi, trembling violently.
"A-a-a MOUSE! There’s a MOUSE!!!"
Yan Xi: "???"
Before she could react, a small black blur shot out from under the desk, darting straight toward her feet.
"HOLY CRAP!!!"
Yan Xi instantly clung to the stranger, the two of them stomping and screaming in panic.
Right then, the dorm door swung open, revealing a girl with a high ponytail of chestnut-brown hair, carrying two bags of snacks.
She glanced at them, then at the scurrying mouse, calmly set the bags down, grabbed a nearby broom—
"WHACK!"
Direct hit.
The mouse was out cold.
Yan Xi & Purple-Haired Girl: "……"
The green-haired girl swept the mouse into the trash bin and dusted her hands off. "Done."
…This girl is cool.
The purple-haired girl finally let go of Yan Xi, patting her chest in relief. "Th-thank you… I’m Yumina, an Ice-Shadow Elf."
The green-haired girl nodded. "Mona. Combat Department."
(Author’s Note: Mona doesn’t technically have an elemental affinity, but for the sake of consistency, let’s just say she’s Combat Department since I’ve already written a lot this way.)
Yan Xi introduced herself. "I’m Yan Xi, Dimensional Elf."
Mona raised an eyebrow. "Dimensional? Couldn’t you just open a rift and toss the mouse out?"
Yan Xi: "…In theory, yes. But in practice, I just scream."
Yumina burst out laughing, and the tension instantly melted away.
The three of them were just settling in when—
"AH! A COCKROACH!!!" Yumina shrieked, pointing at the wardrobe.
Yan Xi: "Isn’t Thale University supposed to be prestigious?! How is there a cockroach THIS BIG?!"
Without hesitation, Mona grabbed a slipper and charged.
Meanwhile, Yan Xi and Yumina huddled together in the corner, trembling like leaves. QwQ
"Mona! You got this! Kill it!!" Yan Xi yelled, eyes squeezed shut.
"SMACK!" A crisp sound.
Mona flicked the slipper casually. "Dead."
Yan Xi & Yumina: "OUR HERO!!!"
Mona sighed. "You two—one’s a Dimensional Elf, the other’s Ice-Shadow—and you’re scared of bugs and mice?"
Yumina pouted. "Ice-Shadow doesn’t mean I’m okay with bugs…"
Yan Xi nodded frantically. "Exactly! Dimensional rifts don’t eat cockroaches!"
Mona facepalmed. "Fine. From now on, I’ll handle all the pests."
Yan Xi & Yumina: "Mona! We love you!!"
After finishing unpacking, Yan Xi suddenly realized—
"Crap! I forgot to buy body wash and pads!"
Yumina raised her hand. "I need shampoo too. Wanna go to the store together?"
Mona: "I’ll come with you."
Yan Xi teared up. "Mona, what would we do without you…"
The three headed downstairs, making a beeline for the dorm’s convenience store.
The store wasn’t crowded. They pushed a cart, leisurely browsing the shelves.
Yumina picked up a bottle of shampoo, hesitating. "Lavender or jasmine?"
Yan Xi: "Lavender. Helps you sleep."
Mona: "Whatever. As long as it cleans hair."
…Mona, a woman of zero indecisiveness.
Just as Yan Xi reached for a bottle of body wash—
"Glaive, hurry up. Stop dawdling."
A cold, familiar voice came from behind her.
Yan Xi: "!!!"
That voice…
She turned stiffly—and sure enough—
It was Elandy.
Hand in his pocket, standing by the drinks section, next to a black-and-green-haired guy with sharp, mischievous eyes, who was tossing snacks into a basket.
…Oh no oh no oh no!
Yan Xi immediately crouched down, pretending to tie her shoelaces, praying desperately:
"Don’t see me don’t see me don’t see me…"
But fate loved messing with her.
Yumina tilted her head. "Yan Xi? Your laces aren’t even untied…?"
Yan Xi: "……"
Mona glanced over, deadpan. "She’s probably hiding from someone."
…Mona! Must you be so sharp?!
Sure enough, the next second—
"Yan Xi?"
Elandy’s voice dropped like ice from above her.
Yan Xi: "……"
…Is it too late to play dead?
