After freshening up, she walked inside the mansion, hesitating.
She knew what she would face if she meet Alessandro again and did not forget she need to avoid Leonardo.
Thinking about him, she unintentionally touched her lips.
What happened in the kitchen was unintentional. But how could she forget what happened?
She has no indecent thoughts about Leonardo, but now she can’t look at him without thinking about the indirect kiss they shared.
“No, it was not a kiss. I don’t want to waste my first kiss on some random guy.” She muttered while walking toward Mrs. Rossi’s room.
But she didn’t know she would meet her biggest nightmare.
“What are you doing inside the mansion?” Alessandro’s angry voice make her flinch and take two steps back feeling scared.
She thought he must be in his office.
But she forgot Alessandro has retired and he only visits the office if there are any important meetings.
“Wasn’t your insult at the dining room enough? How shameless you can be? You are roaming around inside the house like you own this place!” Alessandro roared, making her tears well up in her eyes.
“What do you think? With your tactics, you can make your place here. I know very well how gold diggers like you try to become rich by behaving like a damsel in distress. But Alessandro Rossi is not a fool. Your plan would never succeed as long as I am alive.” Alessandro was insulting her constantly, but Isabella couldn’t refute him.
It’s not because he was telling the truth.
It’s because he has done favors for her family and she is very grateful to this man.
She didn’t want to misbehave with this man who has been the tree that sheltered them all these years.
“Don’t you have any shame? Didn’t you suck enough money all these years? How long do you want to cling to us like a leech? You are educated now. Can take a job and get away from our faces. But here you are feeding on our money and doing nothing.” Alessandro again insulted her.
“Sir… I.” Isabella wanted to say she has applied for a job already but she couldn’t finish her words.
Alicia came out of her room hearing the commotion and with her dissatisfied look it was clear she has heard everything.
“How could you insult her like this, Alessandro? She is not a maid here.” Alicia retorted and stand between Isabella and Alessandro, shielding Isabella from Alessandro.
“If she is not, then what she was doing here? I don’t allow any outsider inside my house.” Alessandro asked her wife angrily.
“She is here because I called her. She is here because I wanted her to be here. But if you don’t like maybe, I should leave too.” Alicia’s angry voice came, making Isabella surprised.
She has always seen Alicia’s soft and calm nature.
She didn’t know this woman can be so furious.
“What are you saying, Alicia? I didn’t mean that. I just don’t want to be this girl here.” Alessandro conceded, seeing her angry wife.
“But you need to get used to her. Because I want her here and in this house, I set the rules. So don’t interfere.” Alicia said and pulled Isabella along with her.
Alicia make her sit in the drawing room but Isabella couldn’t ignore the uneasy feelings blooming in her heart.
She knew Alessandro hated her; she didn’t know why, but it was a fact.
And today he proofed it too.
After all this, she didn’t want to stay here anymore.
She would try to find a job in Italy this week, if she can’t maybe she needs to talk with Mona.
She needs to ask her if she can arrange a job in her office.
She can’t go on like this.
If her mom doesn’t want to go now, she will leave Italy and start a job in New York.
Maybe after a few months, her mom agree to leave Italy and start living with her.
It would be hard to persuade her, but she didn’t want to lose hope.
Her mother has done enough sacrifices for her, maybe she would have to do this one too.
She didn’t want to make her compromise, but there was no other way.
If Alessandro treats her like this, she can’t imagine how his behavior will be toward her mom.
She didn’t want to let her suffer anymore.
“Isabella, I am sorry for Alessandro’s behavior. I don’t know why he was behaving like this, but he was behaving abnormally.” Alicia said with a guilty feeling.
“No mam. I didn’t mind.” Isabella replied hurriedly.
“Thanks. I actually called you for a reason. Maybe if you can do me a favor, I would be grateful to you.” Alicia started.
“What are you saying, Mrs. Rossi? You don’t need to request. You need to just order. I am indebted to you. What you people have done for me and mom. I could never repay your kindness.” Isabella said with genuine feelings.
“No, you don’t need to.” Alicia retorted, but how could Isabella not feel grateful?
It’s not only just money.
They have given them shelter when they had nowhere to go.
“You just order mam. I will do anything you want.” Isabella said and Alicia smiled.
“It’s nothing big. You told me you are searching for a job. Why don’t you join the Rossi corporation as Leo’s secretary?” Alicia dropped the bomb and Isabella felt like her ear was ringing with shock.
How could she ask for this? She was trying to get away from Rossi? What are their chances to succeed would be if she joins Rossi?

“Mam, why?” Isabella couldn’t help but ask.
“Isabella, Leo has too much workload. But he wanted someone trustworthy to join as her secretary. But there is to know one he could trust. But I trust you. I know you will never betray the Rossi.” Alicia held her hand earnestly.
Isabella couldn’t deny her, but she didn’t want to agree too.
Alessandro has made it clear he doesn’t like her.
Then how could she join Rossi and challenge him?
It’s like jumping in front of an angry bull with red clothes.
