The next day at work, Sara walked into her office and saw Alison eyeing her from across the hall. She knew Alison wasn’t happy with her, although she hadn’t done any of the things she was being accused of. She fired an email to Derek at lunch, from her personal email server, telling him about the situation, because this wasn’t the first time that Alison had displayed her dislike of Sara. She wanted to see if he could make anything of it.
Hello, Derek. I meant to mention this to you yesterday, but I clearly had other things to focus on, such as a dinner I was not prepared for. I have been having a hard time with my new boss, Alison.
