IT WAS ALL A LIE

CHAPTER FOUR

The next day I woke up and did my morning routine before going downstairs to join the rest for breakfast

"Good morning," I said happily

"wow someone in a good mood," mom said as she gave me a peck on the cheek

"where's mine"Samion asked and I gave him a peck as well

"and mine," Davion said with a cute pout

"of course baby how was your night," I asked gently carrying him. and giving him kisses all over his face

"Mummy stop" he whined while laughing

"Sasha we need to talk" Jamien suddenly said and I gave him an ok look before turning back to Davion

"baby uncle Samion will feed you as I and your other uncle have to talk ok?" I then turned to Samion who gave me an ok look and took Davion while I went to the study where I saw Jamien and my dad

"Please sit," my dad said and I sat in the chair opposite theirs

"ok what's this about" I inquired

"let's get straight to the point, is Davion Edwin's child?" my dad asked in a gentle voice

"no, I already told you that I don't know who the father is, we met at a one-night stand club after I got divorced" I lied trying to sound convincing

"do you think we are stupid, any fool who has seen Edwin before could figure out that the kid is his," Jamien said annoyed

"no, he is not, he is my child" I firmly stated

"We know that things are not going well between you guys but refusing to let him be a father is horrible, I thought I raised you better" I could tell by his words that my dad was disappointed

"don't you dare, the kid is mine and over my dead rotten body would I let Edwin have him, I don't f*****g care if you're disappointed in me because you have no idea what I have been through" I yelled, and stormed out of his study and went back to the dining room

"hey is everything ok I heard shouting" Malie ask as I took a seat next to her

"yeah everything is perfectly fine" I sigh and started eating

"Sasha how could you walk out on dad go and apologize now," Jamien said as he entered but I just ignored him and continued eating

"cupcake what happened in there" Samion ask but I ignored him and went to Davion

"baby how about you go outside and play for a while before we go to your grandpa's office" he nodded as I cleaned him up and handed him to the house nanny

"Sasha, how long do you plan on keeping him in the dark?" Jamie ask

"I told you before he is my child and if this is going to be a problem then I have no issue going back" I can't say

"is that all you ever do, run away from your problems" Jamien shouted

"at least I am better than you guys who only throw money at it, what is your problem anyway last I heard, Edwin is happily married with a daughter so why won't you leave me alone" I yelled

"ok that's enough, what if the kid hears, stop your arguing," Malie said and I huffed before going back to my room

I changed my dress and wore a casual fit, now. I wasn't petite but thanks to the gym I went down a size from a large to medium and that was perfectly fine for me, I went downstairs and took Davion before we left, we took the limo since they were many of us, and in case you're wondering my brother is single by choice

As we walked in, the employees were all lined up to greet us

"Welcome Madam Sasha" my dad's assistant came up to me and I replied with a smile

"mommy where is grandpa's office" Davion whispered in my ear and dad pointed to the left wing so we headed there, when we walked in what I saw shocked me

"Sasha, is that you? He asked

"oh sorry wrong room" I was about to leave but he caught my hand and held me back

"let go of my mummy's hands you mean guy," I think that was when he saw Davion and I think he saw the similarities

"And who are you," he asked Davion but before anyone else could speak I spoke

"he doesn't have to say anything and also let go of my hand," I said and he immediately let go of my hands

"you still hate me don't you?" his expression changed to a sad one

"I don't hate neither do I forgive you" I simply said and tried to leave

"I don't blame you after all I was an..." he was about to finish when I cut him off

"listen I thought this was still my dad's office and that's why I came in, as for your relationship with my parents I don't care now if you excuse me I would like to show my son around"

"son... Is he.." again I cut him off

"don't even dream about it, he is mine" I warned

"but he looks a lot like me, kiddo how old are you?" he asks Damion

"baby lets go" without waiting for an answer I carried him and we left, I went outside to see the rest starting at me

"Remember I am this close to kicking all of you out of my life again don't push me" saying that I left the company and went to my favorite cafe when I was young

"baby what would you like," I asked as the waiter brought us the menu

"pizza," he said excitedly before turning to focus on the singer on stage

"make it two," Samion said as he joined us

"what do you want?" I asked

"wow so I am not invited huh that hurts" he then dramatically put his hands on his chest making me roll my eyes and laugh

"seriously joke aside, I understand where dad is coming from, you know when you left, it broke us, and we can't imagine living without you, Edwin may have dated you for the CEO position which is our fault but if you can forgive us then you can forgive him as well, and if you can't then at least let him meet his kid," he said and I turned to Davion thankfully he was still focused on the singers on stage

"I don't hate him because he married me for the prize well maybe I do but even if he didn't the fact that he cheated on me would have been enough reason for me to still break up with him" I explained trying to hold back tears

"then what about Davion, he deserves to know who his father is"

"Please give me time, I can't right now, I just want to spend time with you guys before going back, don't spoil this for me please" I begged

"you are still as stubborn as you were back then, but ok, I'll talk to dad and explain things to him but think about what I just told you, and don't be selfish, consider your baby ok?" he asked and I nodded before he gave me a peck on my cheek then he left

I spent the remaining day spending time with Davion, visiting different places until he fell asleep, then returned home where Jamien was sitting on the couch waiting apparently for me

"cupcake let's talk please" he begged and I gave a small nod before taking my son to his room and gently placing him on the bed before returning to the living room to join him.

"let's hear it" I patiently waited for him to start talking

"cupcake I know I overstepped and I am really sorry for my reaction earlier but I just don't want you or Davion to regret not letting Edwin and him meet, I know it's just been two days but I can see the way Davion makes you so happy and I think you should also let Edwin experience that happiness, you don't have to forgive Edwin but you shouldn't refuse Edwin of his son's love" He lectured and this is the first time he ever talks heart to heart to me so I was touched

"but what if he tries to take my son away from me?" he sighed and pulled me closer

"cupcake even though our company has merged with his, we are still the most influential family in this country, and trust me when I say, no one will take my nephew away from you"

We stayed like that for a while before I finally pulled away

"Thanks a lot, I needed to hear that," I said and he hummed

"cupcake, it's just the both of us and I want you to be completely honest with me" Jamien started and I gave him my complete attention

"you still love him don't you?"

"love who? I asked

"you still love Edwin don't you?"

"no I don't, how could I after he lied to me and betrayed me" I lied

"your my baby sister and I know you more than anyone else, now tell me the truth, I won't judge you" he explained and

I contemplated within myself before sighing

"I know I shouldn't but yes I still do, it hurts whenever I think about what he did to me and it broke me when he got married, I wish I didn't but I do, and it f*****g hurts" at this point, I am crying he brought me closer trying to comfort me

"hey it's ok you don't have to blame yourself, it's normal after all he was your first crush," he says as he kept on comforting me, and before I knew it I drifted to sleep in his arms
