TWENTY-EIGHT He was ready. Waiting. He thrilled with anticipation, his heart racing as he opened his Apple laptop, ready to search the on-line newspapers for the acclamation of his genius. He was certain he would read headlines such as ‘The greatest murder mystery in history’ or ‘How a criminal mastermind committed the perfect murder’ and ‘A criminal work of genius.’ He felt as though he was about to burst with the suspense, his expectations rising. Soon, very soon, he would achieve the notoriety he deserved.
