ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE Frustrated at having missed Graham Reason at ‘Hair by Hélène’, Grace returned to Concordia Court to make her notes and to look up Tetney Hall. Located in the village of Lower Tetney in the lower Pennine hills, some fifteen miles to the northwest of West Garside. Tetney Hall was described as a striking Grade II house with a symmetrical stone-built Georgian façade. The hall had been built by Sir Marcus Tetney, a local brewing magnate and a staunch supporter of the Whig party government of Prime Minister Robert Walpole.
