The road to Curbeck Edge was blocked off to all traffic apart from police, CSI and an ambulance. There were many grumbles and complaints from the public, especially as the uniformed officers had been instructed not to give any information why the road was blocked. There were angry shouts as vehicles had to turn round, difficult in the narrow roads, even though the traffic police had chosen to block the roads where there were small parking lay-bys enabling the cars to turn.
