A line of forensically clad CSI technicians, crawling forward on their knees, worked slowly along the riverside footpath, which had been sealed off with police Do Not Pass tape.
Grace, Terry, and Danny watched the proceeding as they got under way. Once the search was in progress, Grace said ‘Good job, Danny, really good job,’ she gave him a pat on the back.
Just then Grace’s mobile rang. Her face widened into a broad smile ‘That’s fantastic. Just fantastic.’ She finished the call and give Danny a clenched fist salute.
‘That was CSI, they’ve identified our victim, ‘she told Danny. ‘She’s fifty-four-year-old Alice Salthouse. In 2014, she was arrested for driving over the limit and her DNA is on record. This has been a good f*****g day! A very good f*****g day!’ she repeated. S
