The press room was full to bursting. Additional chairs were brought into the room to accommodate all the press and news reporters crowding into the space. Rank upon rank of TV cameras, perched on the tripods like hungry vultures, lined every wall, whilst press photographers formed a solid phalanx in front of the dais where Grace and the other officers were to make their presentation. Many of the front seats had been taken by minions, despatched by the talking heads, the TV news presenters, to ensure they had prime positions.
As Grace had anticipated, these horrific killings had now received national attention and the press conference would be broadcast live on all the major channels.
