Meghan was sitting at the mortuary, looking at her parents' corpses. She couldn't recognise them, she was crying, and saying: "Why is this happening to me? I don't deserve this! It was just her with her thoughts there, when hands reached on her shoulders. The hands were long and comforting. Meghan looked behind to see who was touching her and she saw someone familiar, Benjamin. “Benjamin, how long have you been here?” Meghan asked. Benjamin looked at her in a compassionate and serious attitude and said: “not long ago” Meghan in a sad voice responded by telling him how she felt inside. As she was talking, he got near her and calmly told her: “Don't worry Meghan, I can help you with everything you desire, you don't have to be worried” Their conversation went on for sometime until Benjamin looked at his watch and announced he had to go. “Please don’t go, I have nobody else” Meghan told him in a sad voice. “I cannot stay any longer sorry, but please, allow me to help you with everything you need, at least for your parents’ funerals” he said. Meghan heartbroken said: “Thank you Benjamin, I appreciate everything you are doing for me''. After those words, Benjamin who was about to leave, remembered he had something to give to Meghan so he handed her a small package and told her to open it when her parents’ funerals were over and so he hugged her and left in a hurry. During the first weeks of the funerals, Benjamin would always find time to come see her everyday, and he bought her gifts as he came by. He managed to even attend her parents’ burial day despite his busy working schedule. He intended to make sure Meghan saw how much he cared for her. Thus, when Meghan saw him at the cemetery, she was very surprised because she didn't for once think he would get time to come. After the burial, she went up to him and thanked him for coming. “I wanted to be there for you princess”, he responded. That response made Meghan happy and she realized Benjamin cared for her in other ways she hadn't thought about. After the funeral had ended and everyone was back to their normal lives, Meghan decided to open the ‘small package’ that Benjamin offered her when he came to the mortuary. It was a small box enveloped in a red ribbon which she opened with much curiosity and found a tiny letter which she opened and started reading: “Meghan, I wrote this because I couldn't express my thoughts and desires for you, and to you, during your time of mourning and pain. And as I was writing this letter, I imagined that by the moment you open it, you will be healed and your sadness will be gone. If it's the case, please grant me this wish and after reading this, call the number on the paper and you will get more instructions from the person who will pick up your call. P.S: I am old fashioned, sorry about that!” And that was the end of the letter. Meghan became instantly curious as she was reading the letter so she called the number on the paper. The phone rang twice and someone picked it: “Hello, my name is Meghan…. She didn't even finish her sentence when the other person on the line said: “Yes, Mrs Akor, we know who you are. We thank you on behalf of Mr. Harvey for calling this number and we would like to ask you some information about yourself, if you allow, so that we can organize your day with Mr. Harvey as he has inquired. “My day, what do you mean by that?” Meghan asked. “Yes, Benjamin has asked us to organize a getaway day for the both of you where you can relax and you can get treated like the princess you are. He has instructed us to do everything we can to make it fun, so that you can both enjoy it. So, if you allow, we can begin capturing all that we need to make your day delightful” the woman on the phone concluded. “Alright”, Meghan murmured. The person on the phone continued, “We would like to know a few things about you, such as your favorite place, color, food, etc”, the woman went on with a list of questions, which Meghan responded to. The woman on the phone was kind and humble and she had helped Meghan combine her thoughts into beautiful ideas and designs. After that, they ended the call on a happy note and the woman mentioned to Meghan that tomorrow some deliveries will be brought to her address. Meghan was intrigued by the idea of spending the day with Benjamin, but she was excited and curious as always. The next day at 6 p.m, the bell rang when Meghan was watching one of her favorite TV shows. She went to open the door and saw several shopping bags placed in front of her door. A man said: “Are you Mrs Meghan?” Meghan replied yes by lifting her head up. The man continued: “This is your delivery madam from Mr. Harvey”. Meghan was happy to see all the bags that were in front of her door but she had grown to know Benjamin over time so she knew he was a man of luxury. She wanted to tip the man who had delivered the packages but he refused under the argument that he respects Benjamin a lot to accept money from one of his friends. Meghan did not insist so she said thank you and quickly ran to her room to open the boxes. Inside the boxes were a lot of clothes, accessories and so many other things she couldn't believe, there were high heels of different styles, designer bags, pairs of swimsuits, scarfs, sunglasses and so many other things. And all the items were expensive and appeared chic. At last, she opened a small box that wasn’t noticeable among the others, and she saw a ring. The ring looked luxurious but a little old. “What is this ring for?” Meghan started thinking.
