I can't believe how much have happened in the last 48 hours.

As we make our way down the stairs towards the back door, I can almost smell the blood in the air.. Weird, I know. Abby comes over giving me a hug. 'Like I told you yesterday, we travel a lot. So we are going to split up into two groups and meet at the next destination. Noah and I will take Luke and the girls. You and Clay will take David and her.' Abby declares motioning to Clay's girl during that last part to which he scoffs. Allen goes with Abby to the first car while Dawid takes my arm to the other car where Clay has already gotten into the driver's seat. I look over at the others one last time, finding Noah's eyes. He gives me a little nod before closing the door and they start driving. To my surprise Clay is taking a different road. Not knowing what else to do I turn to the girl in the back seat next to me and ask her what her name is. 'I am Mindy, Clay's ma-' she is cut off by Clay hitting the hooter. They seem to have a silent conversation through the rear view mirror before she finishes with a hint of annoyance 'I am Clay's more significant other half'

I have a strong feeling that she just made that part up but just nod and look out of the window. We are passing a rather large stretch of forest. And despite my utter confusion and million questions, I could still appreciate the beauty of this landscape. After two hours of driving we turn into a fuel station for a quick pit stop and to get gas.

As I am coming out Clay and Mindy is arguing about something and Dawid is filling the car. That's when the hairs on the back of my neck started raising and I had this weird feeling. So as calmly as I could I walk over to Clay and wrap my arm around his waist which made them both freeze. 'Something feels off' I whispered while resting my head on his chest and making eye contact with Dawid.

Clay stayed quiet for a moment, listening, and then wraped an arm around each of us and started loudly joking about a threesome while walking us back to the car and getting in. The moment he started the engine, four beastly looking men came walking out if the shop. Not gonna lie, they where scary af. All having the same sleeve tattoo on their left arm. Without waiting another second Clay started driving, but I had a feeling by the frustration evident on his face that we where being followed. And so I looked to David for answers, pleading with my eyes for him to explain. All he did was give me a sympathetic look and turn so that he was looking out of the window. Even Mindy looked scared so I knew whatever this was, it most definitely was not good.
