The Mafia Chapter 1
The beginning- the kidnapping
Knock, knock, knock, these were the first sounds they heard from the door while trying to battle the dizziness in their eyes. Rachel, a tall, chubby, light-skinned 15 year old, stood up to open the door. But she was held by her sister, Evy, who she thought was sleeping. "Evy, I thought you were sleeping. Why are you stopping me from opening the ..........." The sound (knock, knock, knock ) was heard again, but this Time it was a lot heavier than the first one. The two girls became so scared and frightened that they could literally hear their hearts beating almost in unison.
The two girls were scared, but couldn't think of anything other than hiding below their bunk bed and ensuring that the bedspread reached the ground to cover them. Suddenly, they heard " cherry open the door". Rachel stood up immediately and opened the door, and something tentative happened, or so we thought.
" Daddy (dragging while saying), where have you been?" said Rachel. Evy, of course, smuggled herself out from her hiding spot and went to greet her father with open arms.
Their father, Adam, ate his humble pie to his children for coming home late and mesmerized them with tons of eye-catching and expensive gifts and toys, and of course, they agreed. But little did they know that this would be Adam's regular homecoming time because....." he is a Mafia".
The next morning was filled with a tender, soft, and peaceful atmosphere. The alarm was buzzing until Adam gave it a slammy tap and it suddenly went off. He headed to his daughter's room, woke them up, and got them ready for school. Despite the comfortable atmosphere, Rachel felt uneasy and strange, so she told her Father, Adam, that she didn't want to go to school today, but Adam found a way to convince Rachel and her sister to go to school.
After a brief meeting with his Mafia colleagues in a hideous environment, he got to the house, but his children were not home. He got restless and worried but always tried to brush it off with a positive thought. While still in his thoughts, his phone rang, so he rushed and saw "no caller ID." he mustered up courage and answered the call, "50 million or your daughter's head before 5 pm today." These were the only words he received. The soft and tender atmosphere became tense within the snap of a finger. Fear gripped Adam; he became worried and restless until he decided to go for the sake of his daughters, but he was unaware that they were actually looking for him, not his daughters.
After a brief thought, he tried calling the number but received no result. He received a message as fast as the speed of light with details stating the address and where the ransom would be dropped. He picked up his car keys, and he scurried immediately to find his daughter. While on his path, he seemed to be gathering the recollection of this location as if he had been here before, but he still sped up, not minding what occurred the last time he was here. A thought went through his mind so fast, like a wind that knew its direction. He picked up his phone, called his Mafia colleagues, and continued his journey.
His Mafia colleagues seemed to arrive as fast as he was, gathering weapons in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Adam got out of the car, dropped the money at the entrance of an uncompleted semi-thatched house, and turned without observing that there was a man with a g*n pointing towards his direction. Before he could return, they all heard the sound of a g*n, and the atmosphere got worse.
