Nick’s POV

“Give her time,” Lilly said.

“I will give her all the time she needs, but I can’t live without her,” I tell Lilly.

“Lilly, who is she? I don’t know her but I feel a connection to her.” Lex asked. I growl. “Calm down brother, not that kind of connection I love Anna. I would never take another. It’s more like a sister connection. I feel like we have known each other forever.”

“ I’m not sure Alpha. I had assumed you were the powerful Alpha, not your Gamma; I will have to do some more research on this.”Lilly states. “ I can feel his aura and as much as you may not want to know this it is way more powerful than yours.”

“I’m aware he’s been able to kick my ass anytime. Wait remember one time a couple of years ago you went all well you during training cause you thought they were slacking off. You commanded them but even Chris and I felt it. We almost went to our knees with the warriors.” Lex said.

“He will have to if the prophecy is true. You two will rule all kingdoms. Every supernatural being will bow to you. You and your queen together are unstoppable apart; well that one fate I don’t want to think of.” Lilly shutters.

“What would that be?” I ask.

“If you two don’t become one our world as we know it will not exist. The war between the supernaturals will be so great. The hunters will teach the human armies what to use and kill us all. Obviously, you are eager but she has been through so much. For her to love and trust again. You will have your work cut out for you. After reading the stories she has read she thinks the moon goddess is cruel. All of the suffering and the multiple mate thing to her is by far the worst. How could you have someone love someone so much then oh surprise you have another mate that you share them with. One is always treated better than the other leaving them lonely and heartbroken because they are not his equal you are his door mat or vice versa. I do believe it was Alpha Adrian's story that set her off about having a mate loving her then another man turns up in their pack and he is her mate also. She was heartbroken for the alpha. After that the moon goddess was the cruelest being ever for that.” Lilly explained.

“I would never take another mate. Ever. She is my world. I will never hurt her.” I announced.

“I know my child it’s not us you need to convince.” Lilly spoke.

Then this little blonde hair bright blue eyed boy came out of the room. He was shocked at first once he saw Lilly he was okay. He walked right over to me. Looked at me more like sized me up. “Hello I’m Jake.”

“Hello Jake I’m Nick.” I smiled at him.

He wrapped his little arms around me. Whispered in my ear. “ It’s okay Daddy mommy will come around. I’m on your side.”

He’s three how did he know what was going on. Lilly said her children would be powerful. He looked so familiar to me. I know it wasn’t from Alex he looks nothing like her. We played and read stories till Alex came back. Goddess I love her scent. Jake asked her if they could keep me. Then the girls cooked breakfast the three of us played with Jake while they were cooking. After we ate they cleaned up and we played. Lilly made some remark about going to the store and to leave me here to look after her. They left I asked if we could get to know each other. I lead her over to the couch sat down and held her hand. Sparks flying up through my arm. The bond was getting stronger. I told her my life’s story the next words coming out of her mouth shocked me.

“Can I talk to Phineas please?” Alex asked I was puzzled.

“Who’s Phineas?” I was confused.

“Me you i***t. Only one person calls me that so she must have seen and talked to her. She wants to talk to me get in the back.” Finn commands me.

“Yes my beautiful mate. Please call me Finn only the moon goddess calls me by that. But my name coming from you sounds heavenly.” Finn was so happy she wanted him.

“Phineas I know the mate bond is because of you. Please reject me so both of you can have a good long life not living in fear. I can’t put you through that. The moon goddess will give you a second chance. Please.” Alex begged him.

““Finn don’t you dare reject her.” I snapped at him.

“Rejecting you will only cause me pain. Even if I did we would still be pining for you. That’s not how the bond works. The wolf will never reject their mate only stupid humans do that.” Finn snorts.

“Please being tie to me will get you killed and it’s a life on the run. I can’t have your blood on my hands.” Alex started to cry.

“Mate what are you so afraid of? I can and will protect you and our pup. My blood will never be on your hands. The moon goddess has put us together for a reason neither of us can reach our full potential without each other. Even without that I will fight till I die for you bond or no bond. You are mine and I am yours my beauty.” Finn explained.

She got up and left. I took back control.

“Finn what are we going to to she wants us to reject her?” I have tears streaming down my cheeks.

“I’m not sure yet but I know one thing I am not rejecting her and if you do I will make your life miserable.” Finn snapped at me.

“I could never Finn and if she rejects us I won’t accept it. She thinks I only care because of the bond. Bond or not I would never leave her. When I find the rat bastard who did this to them I’m going to kill him slowly and painfully.” I tell Finn.

“No we will. I will be the one to tear out his throat.” Finn said sadistically.

“Right now we have a bigger problem how do we get her to accept us.” I sigh.

“I don’t know what do you humans do to get someone to like you.”

“We go on dates.” I tell him.

“Then do that.” He groans.

“Well Phineas how come I don’t know you talk to the moon goddess?” I barked at him.

“One never call me Phineas. You are not the moon goddess or my goddess. Those are the only two that can call me that. Some things you cannot know. Before you ask no I didn’t know what her life was like the moon goddess never told me. If I would have known the minute you turned eighteen I would have searched for her weither you liked it or not.” Finn was not happy to know what her life was like.

“Alright buddy I know it’s hard. I have a plan but I will need Lilly’s help.” I smiled then blocked him.

It’s been an hour I’m starting to worry about her that she’s not back. What if something has happened to her. I went into the yard I could catch her scent.

Finn broke through my block. “ Let me find her please I’m not liking she’s gone this long. She wouldn’t have ran and left her son.”

I stripped and let Finn take over. Hopefully it doesn’t scare her to see a big black wolf coming at her.

We started to run when we caught her scent going up a narrow ATV trail. I ran up a hill and I could smell copper mixed in with the smell of vanilla and sugar cookies. Why did I wait so long to look for her. I get to the top and look down. There she was lying the her bike on top of her legs. It must have flipped pinning her in.

I bolted down the hill. Finn licked and nudged her face.

I shifted back in all my naked glory and flung the bike off of her. Were My first words are you okay.?Where are you hurt? No. “Why are you not wearing a helmet? You could have been killed. I could have, we could have lost you.” I look over her body her left calf was broken her bone sticking out.

“I was in a hurry I didn’t grab it.” she sighed as I was checking the rest of her.

I sat her up and pulled her into my chest taking in her scent. Tears streaming down my face thinking about her dying.

She pulls back and wiped my tears. “I’m okay.” She smiles at me.

I couldn’t help it I couldn’t stop myself. I leaned in and kissed her. The sparks; the bond was even more intense. But what I didn’t expect was her to kiss me back. The kiss start a a small one but turned out to be a deep passionate kiss. We kissed until we had to come up for air.

“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have done that. I should have asked you. I’m sorry.” I looked into her eyes.

“Oh.” She looked down almost disappointed.

“I want to kiss you, I still want to kiss you.” I was stunned by her reaction.

“Then why are you sorry?” Alex asks. I think that hurt her when I said I was sorry. I know it hurt her I can feel it.

“I’m not sorry it happened I wanted to do that from the moment I met you.” I cupped her face with my right hand. “I was sorry because I never asked you. I never want to force anything on you nor do I want you to feel uncomfortable. I want us to talk to each other I want you to be comfortable with me. I will go at your pace.” I smiled at her.

“I kissed you back. Did you not want me too?” She asked.

I could feel her breaking. “ I want you to kiss me whenever you want my love. I want us to be a hundred on our porch swing still kissing each other. Your lips are the only set of lips I will kiss again. You are the only woman I will ever love or touch again.” I declared my love for her I could feel her relax through the bond. My words healing her.

Then she grabbed me, pulled me down and kissed me. The joy in my heart right now that this woman is warming up to me kissing me. I will never be this happy again. She pulls back. “I think I need to get this looked at.” She smiled at me.

“Oh my goddess yes we do.” I was no longer calm looking at her leg.

I linked Lex to get Lilly back to the cabin.

Alex looked at me. “Ah you may want to let Phineas take over.” She waved her hand up and down. Me totally forgetting I’m naked.

“Yes you are right I’m sure no one wants to see a naked man going on the road. I have to get you back. You can get on Finn’s back. Even if I make a splint it will be painful.” I tell her.

“I will make her comfortable. Don’t worry about that.” Finn growled at me.

“ Finn says he will get you there comfortably.” I smiled and let Finn take over.

Lex POV

Lilly took us to a small grocery store. We picked up some stuff for food. Anna is going to come here to help Nick win over Alex. My sweet Anna always wants to help. Lilly said she would send someone to the airport to get her. We have work to do. Jake wanted to hold my hand throughout the store. There is something familiar about that kid. He reminds me of my family. After we finished shopping. Lilly took us to a small house. I was wondering why. We went down into her basement. There were potions everywhere; every shelf on every wall. Lilly had a small place for Jake to play upstairs. Jake went on up. She’s letting him play on his own without no one watching him. He’s a little boy but he understands everything.

“Lilly he is three. Do you have a spell on him or what’s with him?” I asked.

“Little Jake is special. He is quite powerful. Any of her children with the alpha will be more powerful. She is a mix of everything. But he has power that can’t compare. Once he knows who he truly is and they are one. No force can stop them. We need to make sure of that. If there bond breaks we are all doomed. As for Jake he is predominantly wolf mixed with a little of everything else. I suspect his father is a wolf seeming his wolf is strong and already there. So is his magical DNA he can foresee things; which is not good for a three year old. He knows things none of us know. The moon goddess will give all of her children incredible gifts. But gifts are not always good.” Lilly explained to us.

“Why do I feel connected to him and her?” I asked.

“Her is because you are children of the blood moon. Normally blood moon children are either mated or siblings. Their spirits not literally.” Lilly informed us.

“Get Lilly back to the cabin. Alex had an accident. We are going to need to get her to a hospital.” Nick linked me.

“She okay;how bad is it? I’ll tell Lilly we will head back right away.” I link him back.

“Bone is sticking out of her leg. I have to get her on Finn to get her back. Hurry!” Nick cut the link.

I told Lilly; She had Chris and I grabbing bottles she may need. We got Jake and headed back.
