The Gamma and his Story Queen

Morning

Alex POV

The alarm goes off. Ugg 515 am is too early. I shut it off fast not to wake Jake. I need coffee before I go to the diner. I barely got any sleep with helping Lex. Plus the most gorgeous man I have ever seen; supposedly I am his mate so he wants me for a bond, not me. I couldn’t do anything about it even if I wanted to. I mean humans are nowhere close to being as strong as werewolves but Anthony would find a way to hurt him to get to me.

Lilly would be here any minute to watch Jake so I could go to work and take my mind off this. I finished brushing my teeth and I could hear the door. How am I explaining to Lilly that three good-looking god-like creatures are in my house and oh by the way they’re werewolves.

I walked out and I saw three men ready to jump on my door as soon as it was going to open.

“Please don’t hurt Lilly,” I called out. They paused and stepped away from the door. “ She babysits so I can go to work.”

With that my door flies open. Lilly is on the other side. “It’s okay pups; stand down.” She walks through the door. “My child I will let John know you will not be at work today.” She tells me and I was puzzled. “I guess it’s time for you to know the truth.” She smiled. “Alpha I see you followed the orb okay you are here. I saw you were in danger near here and I knew Alex would look after you.”

“Wait you sent him here? How plus why would you send anyone here?” I started to panic.

“Calm yourself my child he will never find you. Only you and I can see what you actually look like. Alpha can you tell me what she looks like to you?” Lilly trying to stop me from having a panic attack.

“So you are a witch. That’s how I was led here. I take it with how fast I healed; so is she but she doesn’t know she is. Alex, you smell human you have short blonde hair; a pixie cut I believe it’s called. Blue eyes, about 5’8 120 lbs and that’s giving you a few pounds you are quite slender. Pale skin.” Lex described me. I smiled because that looked nothing like me only the 5’8 part.

“ No, she doesn’t. She’s 5’8, about 150 lbs beautifully curvy. Green eyes that would put emeralds to shame. Short dark brown wavy hair. Round face. The most beautiful set of pink lips, small scar covered up by her hair.” Nick announced. Chris and Lex look confused. Lilly and my faces dropped.

“How is that possible,” Lilly exclaimed. Then she thought. “You are her mate. It is the only way you would see her.”

“Yes, she’s my mate.” Nick smiled. “Wait if she is a witch she would feel the bond.” Nick’s expression was back to stone cold.

“You are of Alpha blood but you are not an Alpha.” Lilly was the one now that is puzzled.

“ Lex’s father and mine are brothers. You know the heir and the spare. My mother was an Alpha’s daughter. Once my uncle died my mother and father were offered the pack but he turned it down. He didn’t want to leave his brother so they merged the packs.” Nick explained.

“Ah so you should have been an Alpha, now that makes more sense.” Lilly smiled.

“What do you mean make sense?” Lex asked.

“The prophecy. Young Alpha the three of you are twenty-five? Alex is twenty-two. It’s all playing out.” Lilly beamed.

“Okay, so you all know what’s going on since it’s my life how about filling me in,” I yelled at them.

Lilly flicked her fingers and the masking spell vanished. Chris and Lex could see what Nick described was true but Lilly. Lilly was an old woman, but now a beautiful woman who looked about 40. Long black hair, purple eyes, very thin about 5’4. All of our mouths opened.

“My child the time has come for you to know. Well, all of you. As the three of you are aware of the blood moon eclipse. They happen but are extremely rare. My child the blood moon eclipse all creatures get together at either the fae, witches, werewolves/shifter or vampires castles. It’s a huge celebration of the moon goddess Selene. Children conceived at the celebration are considered to be blessed by Selene herself. The three of you would have been conceived the one twenty-six years ago. My child, you would have been conceived at the one twenty-three years ago.” Lilly smiled at me.

“Lilly is that why you have always called me my child?” I asked.

“No my darling girl. I call you my child because you are. Well, you are my grandchild. You are the one that links all creatures. Your mother was a witch, your father a werewolf hence the eyes. I am a witch your grandfather my precious mate Levi was a fae. Your father's parents; your grandmother was a vampire and your grandfather was a werewolf. So you are a mix of all DNA. You are only a witch but your children will be the mix of all of us.” Lilly explained.

Now my anger flared. As it did the wind outside started picking up, like hurricane force. “You’ve known of my existence all of this time and you left me there. So-called parents that let me go to school then locked me in my room than on my eighteenth birthday booted me out the door to fend for myself. Oh and let’s not forget Jake’s father who after I found out I was pregnant used to beat and rape me for fun.” I screamed at Lilly. I could see Nick’s eyes were dark and low growls coming from him. The wind was picking things up and moving anything that wasn’t nailed down. The angrier I got started a thunderstorm like no other. Trees were falling.

“Can you take her hand please so she can calm down a little before we all blow away. I can’t stop her.” Lilly motions to Nick. He grabbed my hand and it worked my anger started to subside so did the storm.

“My love there has to be more to this story I’m sure your grandmother never left you in that situation for no reason,” Nick said calmly even though his eyes were going from silver to black from what I have read I think he was fighting his wolf. At least his wolf is pissed off that’s some sort of support.

“My child the prophecy was told of your birth. A powerful Alpha line would bring out all of your power and their children will have power like no other. Their union will bring peace throughout all of the realms. But of course not without obstacles. My child when you were born someone used dark magic to take you from us. No matter how much our coven tried we couldn’t find you. It was a powerful witch that cast the spell; with the help of a wolf, they hid you from us. Your mother and father died looking for you. The first I could sense you were when you crossed the Canadian border 2 1/2 years ago. I brought you and Jake here to protect you until the time had come. My child when you told me about your life, I cried I should have done more I should have looked harder.” Tears streamed down Lilly’s face.

I sat trying to take this all in. Angry and confused. It can’t be me. “ You have to be mistaken that’s not me.” I looked at Lilly.

“No my beautiful girl. It’s you. I have subtly tried to train you bit by bit. You have done great work with the elements. Have you noticed when you are outside nature dances. This is going to happen sooner than later so we need to get you trained and fast.” Lilly stated.

“This can’t be true.” A tear came down my face. “I can’t leave here and Nick I can’t have a mate I won’t let anyone die because of me. He will kill you if he finds you.” I cried as I ran out the door.

I heard Lilly say to Nick. “Give her time my son she will come around.”

I went to get on my ATV to get to the top of the hill where I go to think. But I started levitating over the trees and got there. How can this be I’m a witch. Obviously, it has to be true I just floated to the top of a high hill. I sit on my rock and cry. How is this happening why did any of this happen?

All of a sudden a beautiful blonde woman with light radiating from her. “The best thing about fall is a late sunrise so more can enjoy it.”

What the hell a woman magically appears. “ Who are you?” I asked.

“I go by many names my child you may call me Selene.” She smiled.

“You are the moon goddess?” I questioned.

“Yes, Jennifer I am,” Selene answered.

I looked around to see if anyone was around to hear that. I mean we are on top of a hill but everywhere there are ears. “It’s Alex.” I quipped.

“Yes dear, I know. You have been through so much but there is much more to come and you need to be ready.” Selene informs me.

“I can’t do this and why the hell do you care now? Twenty years of pain and suffering; two and a half years in hiding from a monster. And now you want to protect me your about twenty years too late.” I snapped at her.

“ I may create the creatures but how they turn out is on them. Free will applies; everyone has a dark side. Most fight it but some embrace it. My child, I am sorry for what you have been through but if you make the wrong choice the world will suffer. All of the supernatural beings will destroy each other. Your grandmother will help you strengthen your powers. Your mate will help you with everything else. I have given him powers that no one else has. I have treated dear Phineas as if he were my own son. Without you, he will not find them.” She just keeps dropping bombs.

“I will not take him as my mate I will not put him in danger. Anthony will kill him if he finds me. Plus it’s only because of the mate bond you gave him he cares for me.” I growl at her.

“The mate bond ties him to you, not your son. I do believe he called him our son. He cares for you a great deal the bond may tie him to you but he loves you and your son.” She smiled. “Please the fate of our world depends on you.” Then she disappeared.

Well isn’t that cryptic. Isn’t that so cliché; every movie or book in the world. ‘The world depends on you’ crap.

I levitated up here with no idea how I did it. Now, what do I do? I sit there thinking about it, all of a sudden I was floating over the trees towards the cabin. I pitched down on the deck, opened the door and walked in. Jake was up in Nick’s lap; Nick reading the ABC book to him. Two of them laughing.

“My child how are you doing?” Lilly whispered to me.

“It’s a lot to take in Lillian.” I was pulling the full name card.

“Mommy.” Jake squealed as he ran over and jumped in my arms.

“Good morning baby.” I squeezed him tight.

“Nick was reading to me. Look how big he is Mom.” Jake beamed.

Nick smirked. I smiled at Jake and glared at Nick. “ You really think so.”

“I want to be big like that. Nick, can we keep you?” Jake’s face lit up.

“You would have to ask your mom.” Nick looks at me.

“Mommy can we please.” Jake grins from ear to ear.

“You can play till mommy says times up,” I said.

Lilly and I made breakfast. It’s a good thing Lilly’s a witch a couple of words there was triple what I had. I have a feeling these boys can eat. We cooked three dozen eggs, three pounds of bacon, three dozen sausage and two bags of shredded hash browns. By the time everyone was finished eating there was nothing left. Lilly and I cleaned up the dishes.

“Alpha, Beta since you are going to be here a few days and neither one of us can afford to keep you three; why don’t you two, myself and Jake go to the store to get some supplies for a couple of days. Your Gamma can stay behind to make sure the place is safe.” Lilly smiled at them to take the hint. Of course, that scared me more than anything.

“Will I get a new car Gammy?” Jake smiled. He is trying to call her granny but he can’t pronounce it right.

“If you are a good boy. Plus we will get to ride in that big SUV.” Lilly told him he beamed and was ready in thirty seconds.

Lilly hugged me before she left. “It will all work out. Talk to him he is a good man.” She whispered in my ear and they all left.

There was an awkward silence for a few minutes. I was doing busy work till his large hand grabbed mine. “Please can we talk?” He smiled at me. The touch of his hand now was making me all warm and fuzzy.

We sat on the couch. “What do you want to talk about?” I asked.

“Anything my love. I would like to get to know you better.” Nick said. Even with that cold exterior he wasn’t like that with me here and now.

“ There’s not much to know about me. I pretty much blurted it out earlier.” I sighed.

“Would you like me to tell you about me first?” I nodded for him to go ahead. “Well as you heard my father and Lex’s father are brothers. Twins as a matter of fact but my father was born second hence he was the spare. My grandparents treated him as such. But Uncle Nico never treated him like that. Even though they were twins my uncle was the one who looked after my dad. My mom came to the pack on business for her pack. My maternal grandfather was ahead of his time he always treated my mom as an equal. She would have been the heir to the night moon pack but my grandfather had his second chance mate. They had a son and by law, the son would be the Alpha. My mom had been training since she was three when her mom died to be the alpha. But she really didn’t care about it. She would help her father until her brother came of age or found her mate. She went to our pack and as she would put it ‘the most beautiful man who smelt like the forest in the morning walked into the meeting. My mom and dad marked and mated that day. They stayed with our pack. My dad was not leaving my uncle. Then they had me. Due to complications when I was born my mother that to have a hysterectomy so I was their only child. Come to think of it the same happened to Chris’s mother. Myself, Lex and Chris were born on the same day. So we’re the three amigos. Thirteen years just as my uncle was to take over my mom's old pack. They were attacked my grandfather, his mate and my uncle were killed in an attack on the pack. Uncle Nico and dad went there with some warriors they won the battle but lost my mother's family. As she was now the heir. My dad should have been there Alpha but he wouldn’t leave my uncle so they merged packs. So when Lex took over from Uncle Nico; Chris took over from his father and our gamma never had a child so I became my cousin's gamma. We have the best security and training of any pack. I have even worked with the council to help them. We were here looking at making a deal with the old alpha here who has no heirs left to merge his pack with ours but something has obviously gone wrong since he was attacked. That led me to you, my love. I promise to love and worship you until I die. Plus I will be the best dad I can be for Jake.” Nick told me his life story.

Unshed tears in my eyes when he said he was going to be a father to Jake as much as I wanted it at that moment I knew it would never happen. “Please Nick don’t say that. You think you love me because of this bond and my child by extension. You know nothing about me and I can’t be hurt again. I have Jake to think about now. You would be so much better off without me Nick. You will never understand or accept me if you saw me.”

“I will always accept you no matter what you are my other half. You have done nothing wrong. As for hurting you never, I will spend my life loving you and proving that every day of my life. Yes, the bond may have connected us but you are the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. You want to and do take care of everyone not worrying about yourself. That boy of ours loves you so much and you are a great mother. I see you your kindness and selflessness.” Nick proclaims.

“Can I talk to Phineas please?” I asked he looked puzzled.

“Who’s Phineas?” Nick was confused.

Nick’s eyes went black and silver. “Yes my beautiful mate. Please call me Finn only the moon goddess calls me by that. But my name coming from you sounds heavenly.”

“Phineas I know the mate bond is because of you. Please reject me so both of you can have a good long life not living in fear. I can’t put you through that. The moon goddess will give you a second chance. Please.” I begged his wolf.

“Rejecting you will only cause me pain. Even if I did we would still be pining for you. That’s not how the bond works. The wolf will never reject their mate only stupid humans do that.” Finn snorts.

“Please being tied to me will get you killed and it’s a life on the run. I can’t have your blood on my hands.” I started to cry.

“Mate what are you so afraid of? I can and will protect you and our pup. My blood will never be on your hands. The moon goddess has put us together for a reason neither of us can reach our full potential without the other. Even without that, I will fight till I die for you bond or no bond. You are mine and I am yours my beauty.” Phineas explained.

“I can’t; I’m not going to leave here and you are not going to go rogue so it won’t work.” I got up and left the cabin jumped on the quad and drove.
