Chapter Six Idris thought he was finally free of Vivica until she leapt down in front of him again, grinning. He growled a low throaty growl and was finally about to say forget it and attack her to blow off steam when Vivica paused. She tilted her head to one side, as if she heard something. That was when Idris heard it, too. Roman’s pack. He cursed himself for foolishly trying to get away from Vivica. She had maneuvered him directly to where Roman’s pack was running. They were coming over a hill now, howling together. Idris felt a stab of pain when he realized that he would never be running in a pack again. He turned to leave but it was too late.
