CHAPTER 1   Spaceship DESHINA2   "Wow, where'd this come from?" The crew of DESHINA2 marvelled in awe. What was before them was beyond their wildest imaginations. Dry ice turning into liquid rather than the CO2 gas. How was that possible? Even the fathers of science knew that dry ice couldn't undergo this process.   "Store it. It could have some special qualities normal dry ice do not possess. So keep it for experiments and various tests," Melissa the team's leader instructed immediately.   "Mel, when are we going back to Earth?" Chris asked. He was tired of doing exercises everyday and eating dry foods.   "We're on our way back dummy. After all, we've found something interesting for experiment and publication."   "I wouldn't be an astronaut if I were a dummy," Chris countered begrudgingly.   "Alright, I surrender Mr. Intelligent. Come on, let's go meet the others. It seems the dry ice was a result of alien works but we've yet to find them," her eyes gleamed. ***   Ashimara looked at her system. Her twelve fingers typed with the speed of light as she got the information she needed almost immediately.   "Good, so this is how they're like," she smirked looking at the blueprints in front of her. These were her system blueprints, they were intangible and only her keyboard was a hardware. The pictures were blueprint diagrams also.   She observed the diagrams of the astronaut for the third time,   Ten fingers and ten toes, totally different from theirs which is twelve.    32 set of teeth whereas theirs are 30.   White and brown skin; theirs are blue, gray and dull red. Mars was divided into three different zones; the East, the North and the South. The Easterners skin colour was blue, the Northerners skin colour gray and the Southerners, dull red.   They had 360 joints whereas theirs were 372.   They had 206 bones while their were 218.   Their brain had 100billions of nerves with 75% water while theirs was 187millions of nerves with 60% water.   What an interesting race!   "Miss, dinner is ready," the young nanny knocked on the door of her study room. Everyone was prohibited from entering it therefore she couldn't come in but only knock. Her important researches and findings were in there so she didn't want to take any risk of the government finding out.   "Oh," she came out of the room and pecked the nanny on her reddish orange lips, "Thanks."   People  had different colour of lips. The people with reddish orange lips were considered the most fortunate as they were referred to as sons and daughters of the soil. (A/N: Mars' soil colour is reddish)   The nanny was a gorgeous lady even in her forties, grey skin, red hair, brown eyes and an amazing body shape. A pity she was already married to a rather bland lady with blue skin.    In Mars, gender and age didn't matter. Same s*x relationship was the ethics and ethnic and people in an opposite s*x marriage were often shamed in the older times. But now, there was more freedom in opposite s*x relationship and marriage. Marriage between an 80year middle aged rich lady and a 30year old youngster was normal. (A/N: lifespan of these aliens are 200years and more. That is why 30years old is referred to as a youngster and 80years middle aged with 40years young). As far as they loved each other or if it seems so. Same goes for the men.   Ashimara went straight to the dining table and took a seat. Her grandpa and brother were present for the meal.   "Good evening sweetheart," her old man greeted.   "Good evening buddy," she replied with curved brows wondering why something seemed off today.   "Cough...cough...I can see I'm being ignored," her brother said aloud to indicate his presence.   "You can go and meet your multiple girlfriends and boyfriends. Am sure you'd be treated as a treasure," she mocked teasingly. Her brother was quite a character, he said one could only live now and because of his pretty face, was able to attract many boys and girls to him that were interested in opposite gender relationship. Even those who were against it, like a sly fox and cunning snake, he had lured them into it that they were ultimately loyal and faithful to him. Even she could do it but, she wasn't interested. And of course, their old buddy had endowed them with such qualities from his genes.   She looked at her grandpa again and frowned, why was he behaving unusual today.   Forgetting it, she began eating her food. There was eggplants, vegetables, some red rice(A/N: Red is the colour of their rice and it will only be specified in this chapter) millets and some sour sauce. It was bland but delicious and energy filling foods. They also had some normal spirits. Their alcohol tolerance was pretty high(A/N: But even an average level of tolerance here will be extremely high on Earth. How much more you? ;) )    "Why dies the food taste of the soil?" She asked the nanny.   "Miss, have you forgotten? Today is the festival of 'Marsigras'. The festival of honouring our land so some soil is added to the food. Her grandpa's hand shook a little. She frowned again. As far as she could remember, no notable event took place on this day in their lives. However, she flung that away too.   "Oh I forgot, I was so busy." She continued eating forcing the food down her throat. If she had a choice, she wouldn't eat because of the usual weird taste but, she had to honour the land.   "Sweetheart, I have to go out for a bit okay?" Her grandpa suddenly asked.   She frowned for the third time and the smile on her face completely vanished, "How about I tell you no? G.r.a.n.d.p.a...," she stressed and smiled in provocation and anger.
