The werewolf was sent flying 10 meters back and fell on the sandy ground. Hardly any time passed before it was back on its feet. Its eyes looked even more ferocious as its brows had furrowed deeper; making the wrinkles over its nose firmer. It growled lowly showing the sharp teeth at the side of its elongated mouth. There wasn’t any fur left from where the blast had it, only dark skin. However, at a rate visible to the naked eye, the fur on its chest grew back but it still didn’t look as calm as before.
“Run wizard Dira!” Trevor yelled when he saw that neither of them was acting. It was clear that the wolf was angry yet Dira did not make a break for it. As Trevor had anticipated, the wolf let out another deafening howl indicating the dangers about to ensue. Alas that’s what he thought, because the wolf did not attack. Instead, it turned around and ran into the forest.
Trevor was certainly relieved by the sight, but the feeling didn’t last long since Dira was now looking at him; which brought back him to the earlier occurrence. Dira, for some reason, was emitting a suffocating aura. His robes had changed from white to black making him look sinister. Not to mention the unfriendly poker face he had on. “You,” he said, taking slow strides towards Trevor, who subconsciously stepped back in response. He was struggling to speak and just when he was about to, Dira beat him to it; not giving him a chance, “You are the one Dira is wasting so much time on. Why? You look so weak. I doubt you can level up past the silver rank.”
“Wizard Dira…” Trevor finally managed to speak, “what do you mean…..why are you speaking in first person. Is it some kind of fetish you have that I didn’t know about!” he joked with a sheepish smile. However, he soon regretted his action when he saw that Dira wasn’t pleased with him one bit. “SHUTUP!” A devastating yell came from Dira; the air around him seemed to follow his emotion because it blew towards Trevor as a remnant of from the yell.
‘oh boy! What was I thinking. I mean he isn’t an esteemed wizard for no reason,’ Trevor berated himself inwardly as he subconsciously gulped in fear and shock.
“Listen to me and listen to me carefully. From now on, never speak to me like that. Have you forgotten what position I hold? “With a tap of his staff on the ground, Trevor was lifted off his feet about a meter high! “I am not Dira, and I don’t know how you have convinced him to help you for now, more so in his weakened evolution state. We could have died here luckily; I was able to complete my evolution. I don’t like you. I might as well be the one to end your life.” Immediately, Dira raised his staff and pointed it towards Trevor. A pure white form of energy gathered at the top of the staff, growing bigger and bigger.
“I guess this is where this dungeon ends for me. Wonder what kind of punishment I will be getting.” Trevor thought.
But just then, the left side of the robe turned white, and a distressed yell came from Dira, “NO!” his left hand hit away the staff, throwing the beam of white light slightly off course, barely skimming past Trevor’s ear.
As quick as the white side appeared, it disappeared as well.
The atmosphere turned silent afterward as neither of them said a word. Dira appeared to be lost in thought as he stared blankly at the ground. Five minutes had passed but they felt like an eternity to Trevor. The dark robe on Dira, slowly disappeared and were replaced by white ones; the heavy aura disappearing along with it.
“Sorry about that young boy,” the wizard was the first to break the silence, slowly lowering Trevor from his involuntary suspension.
Even though the Dira Trevor knew was back, he was still wary and kept his distance. After sometime around him though, he let loose.
“What was that about?” Trevor asked clenching his chest to calm his racing heart. The pod was still held firmly in his other hand.
“That is irrelevant now; I will tell you some other time……..” the wizard took the liberty of walking a head of Trevor, leading the way. After some hesitation, Trevor followed Dira but neither of them said a word after that.

After teleporting back to Dira’s office, Trevor walked back to his room with his thoughts in chaos. “What just happened?....It was like he had two personalities. Was that his powerful mode or was he his twin brother.” At this moment, Trevor was inclined to believe the person was his twin brother because of the way he spoke. He looked like Dira, he sounded like Dira, but he didn’t acknowledge he was Dira. In fact, he referred to Dira as a completely different person. This was a magical dungeon he as in so it made sense if they were conjoined twins magically with the same body and one would take over at a given time. “You are the one Dira is wasting so much time on. Why? You look so weak. I doubt you can level up past the silver rank” the words that person said played in his head repeatedly.
“Why is Dira wasting so much time on me anyway? I had my suspicions. No one can risk everything for someone he has just met. But I didn’t take them seriously at all. Now I’m more inclined to believe that Dira has an ulterior motive. That man said I looked weak, so does that mean being strong and having a high potential was the qualification for his help?” Trevor was finding it hard to understand the situation, he had even reached a point where he felt like punching the wall but he stopped himself before he could. “Arrrggggggg…… why am I wasting my time, its just a damn dungeon, whatever plans he has for me must be part of the story line. Just role with it, Trevor.”
Unbeknownst to Trevor, a couple of people had eyes on him from the moment he arrived.
There was a figure in the protection of shadows atop a tree eating some sort of fruit. “Looks like the wizard has wishes to use you…...I need to get to you first, you could be helpful to our cause.”

In another part of the school, in an office building, a dark burly figure stood by the window watching Trevor head to his room late at night; “That old fogy actually managed to get you a tasabar, lets see how far he can take you, before we can use you.”
*
Dira also watched Trevor silently from his office; “I might have to change my plan a bit.” He said in a solemn voice.

In the Crystal Cavern, the great wizard Barbech had his hand on top of the glass ball with swirling mana. His eyes had turned whitish-blue as he was using a spell to watch Trevor. A slight smile slowly curved its way up his lips, “Looks like you’ve got quite the attention now. Let’s see what choice you will make.”

Once Trevor entered his room and shut the door, a blue popup screen appeared in front of him and immediately, the AI’s voice resonated; “Congratulations. 100 exp awarded. You have gained the attention of the four pillars of the dungeon. Each of them has a quest path you must follow to complete the game. You can only choose one. Beware, one of the quest paths may result in you’re losing your powers and life force. Choose wisely.”
