"You're late again, Trevor," Daksh scolded, "Explain yourself." He didn't wait for Trevor's response and simply walked with Logan to the weapon rack. "Sir, I'm sorry, I stayed up all night studying. I didn't intend to come late. I promise." Trevor muttered in one breath. However, the response Daksh gave shocked him. "If that's what you say?" Daksh shrugged his shoulders, "You know, I can hear your heart beat like a crazed beast." "Does that mean, he knows I'm lying to him?" Trevor thought but did not reply. "Get your weapons," Daksh said in a nonchalant way before heading to the training spot where a life size dammy stood in a fighting stance. The boys simply obeyed and lined up next to each other facing Daksh with their swords held firmly in their right hands. "Today marks the first day you get to learn from me. You should be excited." Daksh stated with a smile on his lips in a carefree attitude. Seeing this, Trevor inwardly sighed in relief. No punishment for me! "First things first, I'm not going to teach you any sword techniques. What I'm going to teach you is simply something that you can incorporate into you sword techniques. That's why one of the requirements for you to learn from me was that you must know at least one sword technique. That's why you're here. " The boys listened attentively, without any of saying a word. Their eyes followed Daksh as he moved from one side to another repeatedly with his hands behind his back. Both of them were extremely excited, mostly Trevor who couldn't hide the wide grin on his face. "Now for the other requirements; you must be persistent, flexible, humble and respectful towards others. If you feel you can't fulfill these requirements, feel free to leave now." a moment of silence ensued as Daksh waited for a response but no one moved which put a smirk on his face. " Good, shall we begin." Immediately he said these words, he disappeared and appeared 10 meters. Trevor who was seeing his for the second time was a bit surprised. Yes he had learnt how to do it but he wouldn't disappear out of sight like Daksh did. It was like he was teleporting. The way Trevor performed it was fast but people could still see him move; not to mention he did not cover as much distance as Daksh did. "I'm sure you both have witnessed this before. It's a special skill move I designed myself. I normally use it to get out of tricky positions. I call it the flash step." "Trevor, I'm aware you know this already. I'm surprised you were able to learn it fast." Daksh said, walking back to the boys. "I'll be teaching you this first cause it's the simplest move I have to offer." After about two hours, the sun had risen high above and the training had come to a c****x. Everyone was panting and sweating. With some exhausted on the ground. Right after Logan left, Trevor decided to leave too, but he was stopped by Daksh. "You should be here one hour earlier than the other tomorrow. Your warmups from today will be added to tomorrow." Trevor's happy smile died down after hearing this. "And oh...... Do not trust the wizard. You wouldn't like to be siding with the council. It's quite shady you see." after saying that, Daksh turned around and left: leaving Trevor in his thoughts. "Wizard Dira is from the council?" Trevor thought with a raised brow. Suddenly, the same voice from before spoke accompanied with the two pop up screens. "External system detected, would you like to hack it?" the male monotone voice said. "Oh there's still this problem....." judging from the unfamiliar voice, Trevor could only deduce that it was coming from the unfamiliar panel screen. The usual Ai voice he was familiar with had a female tune to it. This one was male. Besides, it took the initiative to ask him a question. The usual Ai would simply inform him about stuff. Since the AI had been nothing but useless to him since he started the dungeon, he had no objections to it being hacked. "Yes. " Trevor replied. Immediately, the purple screen panel, merged with the white one in a brilliant shower of colors. This prompted him to look away from the light. After five seconds or so, a slightly bigger panel screen could be seen. I was mostly purple in color but had a little hue of white to it! "Wow! Is this going to be my cheat from now on!?" Trevor explained before kissing his new ring in excitement. Everyone looked at him like he was a mad man, but he didn't care. One of the best things had happened in his life so why hide the fact that he was happy this one time. When Trevor examined the screen this time, it wasn't just a blank sheet with a little bit of text like before, rather, it had windows and tabs almost like a PC or to be more clear, it was like the Pavillion back in the real world. The tab that was currently displaying in front of him was titled External Hack. There was a small pop up window that blocked that blurred the contents on the tab. "Congratulations on acquiring the " system" Trevor. My name is Ephraim. Nice to meet you. :) " was the text written on the pop up window. With a" Nice to meet you too" button below the text. The moment the pop up window appeared, the voice that usually accompanied the purple panel spoke, reading the texts on display: making Trevor feel like he was talking to a real person. "What do I do now?" Trevor wondered. "Oh I know." he tried clicking the button but his hand just passed through the panel like it was just a phantom with no mass. "No silly, it isn't a touch thing, you just have to think about the instructions you want to give it!" "What the hell!" Trevor cursed out loud, completely panicked!
