Chapter Eight Collin pulled into the drive of his home at Rosings Ranch. The tightness in his chest relaxed as he looked up at the home of his youth. Here, in this wide-open space filled with flora and fauna, he didn't have to struggle to understand the world around him. Flowers needed only water, soil, and sunlight. The animals needed much of the same. They didn't arrange their features into masks that Collin couldn't decipher. They didn't compose words into puzzles whose meanings were a mystery.
