Chapter Eleven It wasn't the sound of squeaking brakes that nudged Charlotte into waking the next morning. It was the feeling of pulling in gently to a full stop. When she opened her eyes, she was in the passenger seat of a truck. She came to full alertness when a tanned hand quietly shifted the gears into the parked position. Charlotte looked over to find Collin gazing down at her. He pushed his cowboy hat up with his index finger, and his blue eyes shone at her, bright as the morning sky.
