Pippa was excited by the end of the next day. She was doing that adorable childlike giggle every time she opened her mouth as we walked over to the car to wait for Brooke, and I almost regretted inviting her. I was worried that it was going to be exhausting to spend an entire night with her, and not even remotely fun. When Brooke showed up she was just as cheerful - the kind of cheerful that I suspected was not genuine, but which Pippa was even more excited by. She pulled up at a*****e on the way back and we went in to pick up snacks. The same terrible microwave popcorn as last week, but this time I grabbed some other things.
