The car raced through the night, Elijah's gaze locked on the path in front of him. I gazed out of the window, attempting to comprehend the revelations.
Lunar Guardians.Dark forces. Lunar Covenant.
I was overwhelmed with questions in my mind and my face was showing it.
He gave me a quick look. "Can I help you?"
"What is my true identity?" I inquired.
Elijah's demeanour became more gentle. "You are the final surviving descendant/last living heir of the Lunar Guardians."
"What is the significance of that?" I pushed down.
Elijah paused before he spoke. "You play a vital role in the Lunar Covenant."
I made a displeased facial expression. "What kind of role?"
Elijah's gaze met mine, holding on firmly. "You need to access the Celestial ceremony"
The Sacred ceremony in the sky. I recalled Elijah bringing it up before.
"What's the ceremony?" I inquired.
Elijah's voice lowered to a murmur. An age-old ritual bestowing tremendous power.
Tremendous power? I asked
As we neared the city, the sky started to get darker. Clouds gathered, blocking the moon's light.
Elijah whispered, "Lunar Eclipse."
Out of nowhere, the car came to a sudden stop with a screech.
"What is the matter?" I inquired.
Elijah's gaze fixated on something in the distance.
"He announced that we have reached our destination."
I looked in the direction he was looking and saw a big mansion in front of us, rising high into the sky.
"Can you tell me our current location?" I inquired.Where are we?
Elijah's face took on a sombre expression. The main office/headquarters of the Lunar Covenant.
What should I do next? I inquired.
Elijah made eye contact with me. "Face your destiny"
I got out of the vehicle with Elijah next to me. The magnificence of the mansion impressed me – tall spires, colourful stained glass windows, and a grand entrance.
Elijah greeted them with a hushed voice as they arrived at the headquarters of the Lunar Covenant.
As we neared the door, two guards made a bow.
"Guard uttered, 'Elijah, Son of the Ancient"
Elijah gave a nod of agreement. "We are here to visit the Oracle."
The guards separated, uncovering a poorly lit corridor.
Elijah softly spoke, "Come with me."
We made our way through the complex corridors, walking past intricate tapestries and old artefacts.
"What is the Oracle?" I inquired.
Elijah's eyes shone with a gleam. A wise person who deciphers the intentions of the Lunar Covenant/the Lunar Covenant's will.
We came to a halt in front of a door decorated with crescent moons.
Elijah stated, "The Oracle's room."
He opened the door, showing a room illuminated with an otherworldly light.
A mysterious figure sat in the middle of the room, hidden in shadows.
"Bowing, Elijah greeted, "Oracle."
The figure lifted its head, exposing intense green eyes.
"O Elijah," spoke the Oracle, its voice sweet as honey. "You have brought the heir"
Heir? I experienced a sudden wave of doubt.
"What is my identity?" I inquired.
The Oracle's eyes met mine. "You hold the key to accessing the Celestial ceremony"
“There is an ancient Prophecy predicting the emergence of a mighty half-breed.
Stories from the past tell of a werewolf that is is half human and half wolf that will disrupt the strict structure of the Lunar Covenant and restore harmony among the different packs and you are the one,but for
you to fulfil this Prophecy, you have to access the Celestial Ceremony”The Oracle echoed.
All at once, my mind was filled with images - old ceremonies, lunar spirits and lost knowledge.
A lot started going through mind again
“Disrupt and restore? How will this be”?I inquired.
Truth be told, the effect of Thane’s rejection was still very heavy on me despite the fact that Elijah has been different and has been making me feel special but the rejection still hurts and one of the effects is that it makes me feel less, inferior, useless and that nothing good can come out of me.
Because of this,it was very difficult for me to believe in the Oracle even though a place in my heart is saying”This is your destiny, Accept it”.
"What is in your line of sight?" "What did you see,Elijah inquired?"
I whispered" The Truth."
The enigmatic smile of the Oracle. "The truth shall free you, Rosemond."
The Oracle's words resonated in my thoughts. "The truth shall set you free Rosemond."
I sensed Elijah's hand on my shoulder, supporting me.
He asked once more, "What did you see?"
I inhaled deeply, trying to comprehend the visions.
"I mentioned lunar spirits, ancient prophecies...and a decision."
The Oracle gave a nod of approval. "The decision of destiny"
“
Destiny?What decision?" I inquired.
The Oracle's eyes met mine in a fixed stare. "To either unlock the Celestial Ceremony or turn down its power."
The hold Elijah had on my shoulder grew stronger.
"What are the outcomes?" I inquired.
The Oracle's tone became serious. Gaining access to the Ceremony gives you great power and the prophecy of the emergence of a mighty half-breed will come to pass.
"What if I reject it?" I inquired. “What If I decline?
The Oracle's face became serious. The Lunar Covenant will fall apart, and the shadow will expand.
I found myself caught between two options that seemed impossible to choose from.
"What should I do?" I inquired from Elijah.
Determination shone in his eyes. "We will confront whatever happens next as a team."
Together ? I looked at his face,
“Yes, together,”he said, putting up a gentle smile.
All of a sudden, the door to the chamber violently swung open.
"Oracle, our security has been compromised!" a guard exclaimed.
The Oracle quickly looked towards the door.
“Oh,they are here,oh,they are here. They want to bring down the Lunar Covenant ,they are here”He said.
