Chapter 1

"IDEL!"The manager called me with such a furious voice.

I wonder what will he do this time?Splashing a new boiled water on me?or probably hitting me with a pipe?

I walk into him with a trembling body because of hunger and fatigue.How could he even dare to eat lavishly when the one who work those lavishly was almost tortured to death?Such a demon if i could say so.

"WHERE DID YOU GO AGAIN?I TOLD YOU TO PREPARE A MEAL WE HAVE A SPECAL VISITOR"He shouted at me and grabbed my long wavy silver hair.But i didn't flinch since im already use to it and im now immune on pain.He dragged me into the kitchen were the limited food was placed.

"How can i cook a meal with this ratios?"I ask straight in his eyes without blinking

"DO ANYTHING!IF THE SPECIAL VISITOR DIDN'T LIKE IT I'LL SKIN YOU TO DEATH"He shouted at me again.

Sometimes i wanna cut those tongue off.It really disgust me.

I started on cutting some veggies and other ingredients that i could see.I probably gonna cook a stew since it's the only thing that comes into my mind with little ingredients.

While waiting the stew to be cooked i tried to eat some boiled potatoes that i boiled earlier hoping to ease my hunger even a little bit.Since that nasty old man will surely not give me anything.Such a scam.

One bite is the only thing i did but it really make my tears fall.It's the very decent meal that i first eaten in my entire life.A freshly cooked potato and on top of it.It was clean!That old man only gave me left overs but not only that,Instead of giving it to me on how it was he would add some rotten ingredients sometimes probably spitting on to it.But what can i do?It's the only thing for me to survive.

I finish eating the potato as soon as i can since that old man would beat me to death if he saw it.Also this is the first time that he assign me on kitchen,since my job is to clean the in or serve the customers meal.I didn't dare tried to steal since i was beaten half dead when i first did it.

After a couple of time the stew is finally cooked so i put it into the bowl.The scent is mesmerizing for me but i need to hold my self.I also put some little of decoration to make it look special even with a trash quality of ingredients.How despicable!saying that it is a special customer yet dare to serve them some low quality ingredients?

After everything the manager came and get the stew that i did.

"Hmm,not bad"He just get it and leave the kitchen.

That old man doesn't even say a word of praise,what a devil.He also didn't even recognize that it's a stew.

I walk out on the kitchen and go to clean the dining area since it was the job that only me can do.I don't have any helper so i always do everything about cleaning.

As i walk through the corridor i saw the old man walking towards me so i tried not to intercept and just go on the otherside but i was shocked when he grab my hand.

"Listen,the special guest wants to see you,you better behave or else.."He said with a threatening voice

I just nodded with a dead gaze.

He grab me and go to the dining area where i should be going.On there i saw a man dressed well and his face is a face of a scambag.

"This is Meridel the one who cooked your meal..."As soon as the old man said it i bow my head.

"You see,she's the one who cooked the meal"The old man said

Is he trying to sell me or something

"Well,what a clever girl you are"The man said and grab my face.

"What a cute face you can be the most beautiful woman in the capital but such a shame your eyes are dead"He said with a worried-like face.I dont really know what does this guy thinking but what i know is i hate him touching me.He let go after.

"It's the first time i eat those kind of stew such a marvelous taste that i almost didn't think it's not a stew"The man said with the tone of sad yet amazed

"WHAT!!!A STEW?"The old man was furious and almost want to hit me but we are on the presence of someone special so he hold back.Well i could say im thankful i guess?

"Dont worry adam,it's so good even for a stew im totally mesmerized by her cooking"The man said again then look at me

Then he stare at my eyes again like he was being tempted.

"Such a beautiful indigo eyes and a silver hair at top of that"He praised my unfamilliar looks

"Do you want to come with me?my lady?"He ask,well i guess its better than the old man?atleast this man looks wealthy that he probably wont take advantage of me by working and giving him the money?

"U-uhmm sir,you know Meridel is our lovely worker..."The old man was trying to grab this opportunity onb selling me off

"Take this 100 gold coin"The man said and smiled at the man.

The old man was speechless for a second because of a lot of gold coins,even i was in daze for a moment.

"Gladly!you can now take her"This old man is really a scambag,selling me like he owns me?He almost threw me before!I wanna be mad but i can't probably my feelings were already sealed deep inside me.

The man hold me in the hand and smiled then assist me to go into a carriage.
