ONE LAST CHANCE

This is the story of a home lesson teacher ( Ebuka John) . Ebuka was a poor graduate who recently graduated but had no job . Because of his idleness, Ebuka decided to be a home lesson teacher but before he became a home lesson teacher he first consulted his friend (William ubah) of his plan, William then told him that kind of business can't work in their village and it will be better he travels to a city where he will gain a lot of money. Ebuka considering the expenses and cost of living , he started farming for about a year and made enough money for him to buy good clothes,for his transportation,his provision and many other things. Ebuka got there the next day and chose a place to stay and getting to hear the price of an house he was shocked and wanted to go back when the person considered the urgent need of the money at that time and rented it cheaply to him. CHAPTER 2 The next day Ebuka woke up and decided to walk around the street if he might see a vacant job . On getting to the gate of his estate he saw a poster written on it 'Qualified home lesson teacher needed' he then called the number written on the post and was told to come the next day. The next day Ebuka dressed and went to take his job. On reaching there the gate man of the house welcomed him and asked if he was the home teacher, Ebuka said yes, a woman was sitting at the balcony of the house (Faith) and on seeing him she came downstairs to ask him what he was doing there before he could say anything, Faith said "All this low life idiots who will be looking for where to eat free food " Ebuka was shocked to hear it and was embarrassed, he wanted to go back home when Chief Ola Badmus came out and asked what was happening but Ebuka said nothing. The chief was kind to him and also interviewed him briefly, he introduced his son, Daniel to Ebuka. Ebuka then asked chief if Daniel was stubborn but chief Badmus kept quiet, after some, time he called Ebuka secretly and offered to give him 5 million naira if he will change his son for better but his salary every month will be #500,000 . Ebuka accepted the offer not knowing the kind of person he is going to teach, he was happy about the offer until..... CHAPTER 3 The next day Ebuka woke up with great happiness and enthusiasm to start his new job on getting to the house he was embarrassed by the Chief's wife and also Daniel was stubborn to him and wouldn't stay quiet for a moment, Ebuka was frustrated but endured because chief told him to take it easy and softly with him. The next day the same thing happened, Ebuka endured until a day came Ebuka was about teaching Daniel all of a sudden he started misbehaving and interrupting Ebuka and for the first time in Daniel's life he was scolded and had to stay quiet and listen . Daniel became obedient in split seconds and was also taught the benefit of being disciplined and well mannered. That evening chief Badmus came back and noticed the changes in his son , he now talks to him politely and also Carried his bag , chief Badmus was surprised and told his irresponsible wife you see what you can't do a stranger has done it, she became jealous of Ebuka and decided to set him up like joseph but her plan failed , Ebuka also told her to repent and change. That evening again Chief Badmus noticed another change in his wife again and was super shocked to see his wife come to him to ask "Honey how was work today " . Chief Badmus had to reward Ebuka again for his good work. Chief's house was now fixed because of Ebuka. CHAPTER 4 Now chief Badmus was a politician running for a very important position in his state and with the look of things the people are in support of him but his opposing party were jealous, they sent two people to behave like house helps and apply for a job in chief Badmus's house, chief Badmus didn't hesitate to give them the job but his wife wasn't in support of their employment, chief taught she was trying to be rude to them not knowing they were agents. The next day Ebuka came as usual to teach Daniel but Daniel complained that he keeps hearing strange noises of people discussing every night . Ebuka asked him where the noise comes from Daniel replied " it comes from the new house helps' rooms" . After the lesson Ebuka was going home when he saw the new house helps discussing on 'THE SETUP' , Ebuka overheard their plans on killing chief Badmus on the day of his electoral speech, the house helps were paid heavily by chief's opposing party to arrang hired killers or hitmen to kill chief Badmus by planting a car bomb in his blue Hilux which hehich he normally uses, as Ebuka was listening to their conversation, his phone rang he quickly switched it off not knowing the house helps heard him . The male house helps ran after Ebuka to kill him so he won't expose them but Ebuka escaped and ran into chief's house and waited for him to come back. When Chief Badmus came back that evening Ebuka was trying to tell chief but he didn't tell him everything because the house helps interrupted their conversation, Ebuka then told chief to go near their room at night to hear their plans by himself. That night chief Badmus decided to hear their conversation but on getting close to their room, one of the house helps saw him through the security camera and alerted the other one immediately they switched from discussing and pretended like they were praying Chief Badmus opened the door and saw them praying he then taught Ebuka was lying and lost trust in him. CHAPTER 5 The next day Ebuka was going to do his job but was kidnapped by the house helps and kept in a building far from chief's house, in a dense forest and was surrounded by guards. The house helps then came into the room Ebuka was kept and was forced to say " Hello guys I know you need money why don't you help me get chief killed I'll pay you a huge amount of money, just do it for me " everything Ebuka was forced to say was recorded by the house helps and was sent to their inbox through Ebuka's phone, the house helps then showed chief Badmus the fake message sent to them and lied to chief Badmus that Ebuka offered them a large amount of money to kill chief Badmus got angry and placed a bounty that anyone who sees Ebuka and brings him will be paid a sum of 55 million naira . The people around saw it and started searching if he could be found but he wasn't. The house helps then came back to where Ebuka was kept to check if he was still there and they left meanwhile Ebuka has been cutting the rope that was used to tie him and it was gradually removed from his hand but anytime the guard comes in, he will behave as if the rope is bound to him . The next day the house helps came to check again but this time the male house help bent down and was talking to Ebuka saying " look at you now I taught you were going to expose us, hahaha, nothing will stop us from becoming rich.." while he was talking the female house help shouted "no no no this can't be" the male house help rushed to see what she was talking about and as he was trying to get up his phone fell from his pocket but he didn't notice it. What was the female house help shouting about..? the police was in front of the house but they were surprised because the house is in the middle of a forest. One of the police men entered the house but the house helps bribed them and asked them to behave like they saw nothing. After the whole thing the house helps entered the building and the male one was saying "Thank goodness the police weren't hardened, our plan of killing chief will be successful and will be rich, hahaha" the house helps didn't know all they said was recorded by Ebuka with the house helps phone that was dropped earlier. Ebuka was wise enough to send the video to chief and delete it from the house helps phone. After some minutes the male house help was looking for his phone and later found it and they left. CHAPTER 6 That night Ebuka escaped the building and managed to get passed all the guards and before it was morning few minutes after he escaped the guards noticed he has already gone and started searching for him. Ebuka knew that by that time the guards must have noticed his escape and his life was in danger so he entered a house and begged the owner of the house to hide him because he was afraid to die. The owner of the house was Helen okeme a lawyer who took good care of him and promised to fight for him. Ebuka was urgent about meeting chief Badmus because the speech was in three days and Chief Badmus has already been elected. The next day Ebuka left the house to meet chief Badmus but he wasn't around at the time, he came the next day but was seen by some people who wanted to apprehend him and take him to chief Badmus but he escaped. The day before chief Badmus will deliver his speech Ebuka disguised himself and found his way into chief badmis's house and as chief Badmus Saw him he wanted to shout 'guards take this boy to the station' but Ebuka calmed him down and explained everything to him but chief didn't believe until Ebuka told him to open his w******p inbox and chief Badmus Saw the video and apologized to Ebuka and cancelled the bounty, chief Badmus was able to track the building where Ebuka was kidnapped but they found no one there, Chief Badmus then arrested the house helps and was forced to reveal the people who paid them but they kept quiet . day of the speech reached but chief Badmus was scared of dieing but Ebuka told him God is with him, that gave him little courage but on that day the serial killers were caught alongside the hitmen and even the bomber. Ebuka was made the public hero on that day and was given the 55million bounty and other dignitaries in the state sponsored the bounty with some millions. CHAPTER 7 Ebuka decided to go back to his home town to deliver the good news to his mother. His mother was so happy to see her son after Three years, she wasn't so happy because Ebuka's father wasn't alive to see her him succeed, he died while Ebuka was in the city . Ebuka invested the money he got from the bounty into cocoa farming and in six months got a lot of profits he also built a comfortable duplex for his mother and built schools in his little village. One day Ebuka sat on the balcony of his house and as he was going through his phone,a notification came ( a friend request) he accepted it and he started a chat with the person, he found out the person was a girl and after some months he was attached to her and one day they decided to meet each other at a restaurant to know themselves better. When Ebuka got to the restaurant he saw a girl that looks exactly like Helen okeme ( The lawyer who took care of him while he was running for his life) . She then said "I am supposed to be on a date but my boyfriend hasn't showed up" Ebuka then said " me too" and he tried calling the person he has been chatting on f*******: and Helen's phone rang for some seconds they were starring at each other and later found out they have been the one chatting each other. They got to know each other and later had a blissful marriage.
