Adrian was sitting impeccably dressed on her friend's living room sofa. Was the universe conspiring against her? Melina was shocked, frozen in place until Ellie tugged at her sleeve and whispered, “Melina, who is he? He looks intimidating. He said he’s a friend. Is he really?” A friend? At least Ellie didn’t say anything she shouldn’t have. Melina glanced at her confused friend, then rushed over to Adrian, grabbing his hand to pull him away. Adrian, however, remained unmovable, seated like a rock. Instead of moving Adrian, Melina stumbled and fell beside him. Adrian turned to Ellie, his expression calm and polite, “I apologize for the intrusion.” Ellie, extremely curious about this man, walked over to the other sofa and asked, “Melina, aren’t you going to introduce us?” Ellie didn’t
